jose parla help please, by Winter on Nov 14, 2007 1:01:53 GMT 1, I have a watercolour - large and beautiful from Elms (framed by John Jones) and a Cityscape canvas. I thought about selling these a while back but started a new job and put them on the backburner (not literally). Given how hard it is to find his work and the way the prices are going I'm not in too much of a rush. If anyone is very serious about owning a Parla I'm happy to discuss.

Nice link stuey..
I am also unsure of Parla, some of it looks pretty nice but cant justify splashing that much on something that just looks 'Nice'............
As with many things, it's not something that can really be appreciated on a computer screen. I was pretty sceptical myself until I saw some in the flesh......

Watercolors: $6-9k U.S. if you're lucky enough to get one at a show.
Mixed Media: $12k U.S. for a 24" x 24" and up rapidly from there. Figure $35-40k for a 3' x 5' and $50k+ for anything larger than a 4' x 5'.
Those are the numbers I've heard quoted from shows. I think Frankie had a smaller mixed media that was $16k U.S., so that might be more in line with the going rate.

jose parla help please, by worlddomination on Nov 14, 2007 10:59:19 GMT 1, At first sight I wasn't to hot on Parla myself, but it just grows and grows on you the more you look at the work the more beautiful it becomes. a must in my opinion to any collection if the wallet permits.

jose parla help please, by shavemysoul on Nov 15, 2007 1:11:13 GMT 1, I saw the most amazing Parla the other day, visiting a boardie (you know who you are sunshine!). It was a corker in real life. I really enjoy seeing orginals up in people's houses even more than in galleries.

jose parla help please, by Chuck D on Nov 15, 2007 4:34:45 GMT 1, I know Elms recently got a few stunning watercolors. They were around 9K US. I'm sure the waiting list was long. If you could get yours hands on one for under 10, you be winning.
As far as canvases, these are VERY hard to come by. Expect to pay through the nose. But it's worth it. Parla is on another level.
Good luck.

Daniel Silk • The number or Boards and Threads continues to fall as we simplify the layout of the forum.
Daniel Silk • I hear a lot of Artists complaining about Instagram in the past year, how it used to be a good tool for Artists, but it's not good anymore, is that true?
anyaart • For Brett Kern fans, I noticed there is a spinosaurus for sale on E-Bay. It's a limited edition, one of only 60 made. This is the rarest of his dinosaurs. I am not the seller. I already have the same dino purchased in 2016. I've never seen one up for sale
Daniel Silk • Apology • Sorry I have been offline this past few weeks, due to a very bad Fever. I'm slowly getting better, step by step, and catching up with things here on the forum on the days I'm well enough. Thank you for your understanding.
Boy Wonder • I read that they were more or less nicked the same day they went up. Loads of fakes exist.
milou2 • Would love to see any photos of Banksy's first exhibition at the Severnshed in Bristol (2000). Who was there?*
jirr • Hi all, over here in the states. Pandemic put me out of business, need to sell this asap. Please send offers thanks so much
matgab • Steven Harrington - Gotcha first ed for sale.
1nkling • I can't help but think that a more reasonable tier for people who just want to support the work you guys do would raise more income. Then other tiers for those that want specialist benefits.
1nkling • As soon as I saw the heading for the email I thought 'Oh yeah, I use that place a lot. I'd happily support it'. Not at £40 a month though. I have a paid sub for a Formula 1 site I use that is very active. They have a high uptake on subs at £12 a year.
1nkling • Pricing on the new supporters sub seems a bit poorly thought out. £40 a month to have a pinned sale thread being the only listed benefit?
Daniel Silk • The forum now has more than half the number of Boards than it had a year ago! As we work towards simplifying the layout.
ashj52 • Hi everyone; does anyone know where I may be able to find a George condo prism print? Any guidance on price would also be much appreciated! I contacted AA, they said they cannot disclose whether there will be any further drops this year.
