Paypal unconfirmed address advice......, by banksman on Nov 14, 2007 13:35:23 GMT 1, Hello there, I have recently sold a print to a guy in Hong Kong for £500.00....
He has paid via paypal but he has an unconfirmed address, and due to previously getting my fingers burnt last year when a sent an item to an unconfirmed address (even though I had a tracking number that proved he signed for it he said he hadn't recieved it and got a £800.00 refund from PAYPAL) I can't risk it again.....
Any help on what I can do???

whats wrong with giving your bank details? to transfer money they only need your sort code, account number, bank name, and your name. they cant do much with that except put money in your account. its perfectly safe.

A Confirmed Address is a PayPal member's credit card billing address. Because not all credit card companies are currently able to confirm addresses, only some U.K. and Canadian addresses can be confirmed at this time.
Sellers can use the presence of a Confirmed Address as an additional risk management tool when considering transactions where Seller Protection Policy may be unavailable. All addresses for PayPal members outside the U.S., U.K. and Canada will continue to show a status of Unconfirmed.

Paypal did not even care that the buyer left me feedback along the lines of "Wow! Fast Shipping! A+++" I try to avoid them as much as possible. (They will also screw both parties on international sales, in my experience)
