Eelus canvas Shat At, by thetongue on Jul 9, 2013 12:53:25 GMT 1, Any idea how much these are worth these days? Can't really find anything recent on here (someone mentioning £3k for a red ages ago) or recently on eBay (apart from a rather expensive looking one for about £6k!). Thinking of selling mine so any help/ offers please let me know! Thanks

Eelus canvas Shat At, by bristolboy on Jul 9, 2013 15:34:59 GMT 1, There was a pink one too sometime last year (I think) it looked really nice though has begun to crack in several places. I think that ended between £400 - £500.
I like them.

Eelus canvas Shat At, by Strange Al on Jul 9, 2013 19:57:46 GMT 1, Yeah, I've seen a number of them sell on EBay (and elsewhere) over the last couple of years for under £750 (with a few going for around the £500 mark). Which surprises me a little, given that in the same period we've seen the print versions nudge over £300 on a fairly regular basis. Plus people seem willing to pay silly money for NEISBW and now After The Rain, neither of which are anywhere near as strong IMO (and are prints). Shat-At is the defining Eelus image for me. A real classic.
Whilst the ones sold on eBay have failed to achieve very high prices, one did sell at the Artcurial auction in Paris at the beginning of the year for a fair whack. From memory, that went for around 2500 euros plus fees. Though that sale seems like a bit of anomaly to me and I think you'd be doing very well to achieve anywhere near that.
It sounds like a cliche, ultimately they're worth whatever someone is willing to pay on the day.

Canvases are rather large so the print version appeals more for limited spaces / apartments and unless your a star wars fan a limited market appeal. The best place to achieve a high sale is at a star wars toy convention or eb for american market ;-)

Eelus canvas Shat At, by thetongue on Jul 10, 2013 12:44:50 GMT 1, Great, thanks for the responses everyone. Maybe I'll just keep it on the wall for now as do love it, just thought if things had picked up like the prints that I might not be able to justify keeping it as could do with the money elsewhere.
