"Im really happy to share with you more details of my project that I've been working on since last year. SITODRUK 22 is a new chapter but also the very first portfolio I have ever created.
With this set of prints, I want to make a kind of tribute, an ode to the color in the language of landscapes. Different combinations of colors arranged in a certain order, supported by well-defined shapes can be much more expressive than a detailed drawing, which might describe every detail of the situation but sometimes misses the atmosphere, that moment in time, and the mystery of nature defined by the light.
Each limited edition of Sainer SITODRUK 22, Screenprint Portfolio Box | LIMITED EDITION of 30 includes:
โช handmade portfolio box, crafted by a bookbinder Piotr Jarosz, built of strong greyboard, covered in tissue lined black rayon cloth, lined with fuchsia pink paper. Hot foil debossing using cream pigment foil. Itโs accompanied by a 2 color screen print recessed on the cover and a screen-printed certificate of authenticity recessed in the lining, signed by the artist,
โช set of 10 silkscreen prints on 50x36 cm, Pur Coton Absinthe 350g/m2, 50x36 cm, signed and numbered by the artist,
โช folded, double-side 1 color silkscreen print on Pur Coton 350 g/m2 smoke/ light grey 50x70 cm. Obverse contains the graphic design with artistโs description of the project, reverse consists a screen-print based on the drawing, hand stamped and signed by the artist,

Upset he included them in a very limited portfolio set that I can't swing. There are three in this set that I would love to hang. Would have been nice he if could have upped the edition and sold them separately and as a set. C'est la vie.

It drives me nuts that fewer and fewer artists/galleries are saying prices ahead of time. Guess it's all about engagement and traffic metrics these days.

But if I'm honest with myself I probably got caught up in my own excitement and overstated a bit. Love is a little strong but I would still hang a few of these. |
