Framing WTL, by Pipes on Jul 17, 2013 1:43:25 GMT 1, Trying to decide what framing to get on my WTL.
Scouring the web and forum I've found 3 options which caught my eye, all of which look good.
Whilst ultimately its me thats gonna have to live with it on my wall - just wondering which of the below people thought was best?
Black chunky frame
White mount, white frame
Brown wooden, float mounted
Opinions appreciated ....and thanks to anyone on forum who's images I may have stolen

Framing WTL, by bjornca on Jul 17, 2013 5:46:16 GMT 1, A print I wish I had. My vote is the wood, as I think it brings the colors out more, and the thickness works for such a large print.

Framing WTL, by jusdeep on Jul 17, 2013 6:35:06 GMT 1, For me it would be the bottom one every time, although could possibly do something similar with a mount or not box framed. It's a large print and over time, changes in heat and humidity could become quite wavy float-mounted. Top one in the black/dark wood frame is a little too over-baring for my tastes and the white just doesn't work imo. Mine is framed similarly to the bottom with a natural, uncoated dark wood frame and double off-white mount. I would also advise that if possible go for the more costly option of non-reflective glass as there's a lot of glass and you will notice the reflections a lot more.

There are many types of uv non-reflective glass and perspex. Usually they have a higher uv factor; but generally only a few % difference up or down.

Framing WTL, by iamzero on Jul 17, 2013 14:37:22 GMT 1, I thought con clear offers about 99% against the non reflective stuff at about 76%? Although I think museum stuff that's about 5 times the price comes a little closer to con clear.

Framing WTL, by Feral Things on Jul 17, 2013 20:22:55 GMT 1, I haven't bought a print for myself in about the last 5 years, but this is always the one which tempts me. Such a beautiful work.
