have to say i've been somewhat surprised by the values on Ebay and those discussed ..... admittedly a few of them are decent Neate works and as 'one-offs' can push over 1k but there are many others that i personally wouldn't pay a gr8 deal for , other than for the kudos of having an original work by him....

Its a hard one to judge.
Personally I think £500 too. Up to 1k for a really nice piece.
However with prints going for over 2k, it wont be long before these will be going for more, at the end of the day they are originals, however simple they are.

I think if a piece is strong and is on his website £500 would be wishful thinking. Throw in an Eric the Dog and you would probably get a deal.

I would like to add that if anyone has original Neate street pieces (shown on his website) that they want to sell me for £500 I will buy ALL of them.

I would pay £3000 to £4000 for his very best street pieces. there are one or two that are half as good as his gallery work, so if i got them for under half as much i would be happy

It's now at £1000 with 6 days to run! I'm a big Neate fan but these prices are ridiculous! It's not a great piece c'mon let's face it if you didn't know it was Neate would you pay more than a couple hundred quid for it?

Agreed. I think this piece is much better than previous pieces that have appeared on ebay. I also think the seller has presented it in an ideal way- the listing is informative and aesthetically pleasing (ooooh- pretty reflections)!!!! ;D

I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Not to bid, as it's far too expensive for me, but purely out of curiosity.

If i was paying 1500k+ for a neate street piece, i would want something a little bigger!, i know if the image is a good-un it shouldn't matter but this would be like having a postage stamp on the wall!, just my opinion!

When I called John Jones framers about mine the other day I was told I would be called back by someone who actually specialises in framing Neate works. The guy called me me back and told me he had been extremely busy framing lots of street works as well as the skate decks and Elms Lesters pieces. What is reassuring is that it looks like many people who have found or bought his works are preserving them in the best possible way and it looks like most are planning on hanging on to them.

I hang my face in shame for pretending you should never pay more than £500 for a piece! The seret is obviously out, Neates work is v v good. If you can get your hands on one you really should, they're (90% of them) very special and photo's don't do them justice. However, if you do want to let one go to a very good home in order to pay your mortgage, credit card bills, divorce, mistress (then refer to previous reason) etc let me know
