10 years of Wooster Collective, by Passion Art on Aug 6, 2013 3:31:47 GMT 1, CANNOT wait to see this show. BAST and Galo's pieces are probably my favorite. I also really like the De Feo manhole cover. Really great idea and execution. Pricing is a little wacky though. A little over a year ago a gallery sold one of those small BAST guns for sub $500. Sold right away but still. That's quite a price jump.

The tall Dan Witz piece is amazing. Would also be awesome to have the Mark Jenkins. But the best one has to be the huge Bast. If someone goes please post some pictures

10 years of Wooster Collective, by Passion Art on Aug 6, 2013 17:01:42 GMT 1, After a second glance, I'm a little disappointed that no artists took a chance and did something out of their comfort zone. Would have been a great chance for artists to push each other to new heights. That said, the installations look like they're going to be amazing.

10 years of Wooster Collective, by Con Art Studio on Aug 6, 2013 21:27:15 GMT 1, The faile pieces look reasonably priced. that was my first impression but i'm getting the feeling those are pieces from the large installation from the first Les Ballets de Faile. that installation was made up of tons of those and if they plan on releasing them all, are they really worth $3-4k each? even if they spread them out and slowly release them, the market will eventually be flooded with them.

10 years of Wooster Collective, by Zippy on Aug 6, 2013 21:43:38 GMT 1, Fair enough. I didn't know where they originated from and compared to other pieces, thought they were ok for originals. But after reading what you say, they are also too much!

There is nothing very special about the Faile pieces at all. An 8x10 or 8x12 piece of wood that has been painted? No layering, barley any real detailing on the pieces. I agree with the sentiments that they look to have come straight from the Faile Tower. The price is way too high on those pieces. Now, not sure how many of you have seen the small hand-painted puzzle boxes from Faile but those appear to be an amazing buy for the price (if you got let in on the private sale!)......

10 years of Wooster Collective, by behaviorist on Aug 6, 2013 22:32:40 GMT 1, Great point. The puzzle boxes are a real treasure, if you were lucky enough to get one.
But: I just looked back over images from the Faile tower and it doesn't seem, at least to me, that there were many pieces on salvaged wood. For shots: failesites.net/les-ballets-de-faile---february#0
Ironically, I'd prefer almost any piece of the tower over what they did for the Wooster retrospective.
