David Choe - City Girl 76, by phage on Aug 12, 2013 19:08:25 GMT 1, Just as a warning to anyone trying to deal with a member called thesewalls
He bid right up on this piece, possibly lost me a serious buyer, offered cash immediately and then pulled out.
Talked the talk, just couldn't walk the walk.
These type of buyers should keep out of other peoples PM boxes.

I gave thesewalls the benefit of the doubt back in February when he did exactly the same to me on the same print edition. Seems I was too generous based on the post above. I really don't see why people enter into discussions on purchases unless they have the cash, will go through with the deal if a price is agreed and have checked in advance that their Girlfriend / Wife / Dog or whoever else makes the decisions in the house in advance

David Choe - City Girl 76, by thesewalls on Aug 14, 2013 21:38:14 GMT 1, I know thesewalls personally and he's a two faced piece of shite. He's actually a great guy most of the time, but lacks control and composure. I know he has bought lots of stuff from these forums and at auction over the past 6+ years, and i can tell you for a fact that thesewalls are literally full of framed 'street' art. Even with the best of intentions, the world still burns.
BUYERS - pieces don't go nearly as fast as they used to. give yourself some time, at least a nights sleep, before making any commitments. understand that even though you're not transferring money when you 'buy' a piece on here, you are in fact entering an agreement, which in the long run is worth more than money. your word is all that will be left in the end. without that you will loose out on countless future options (case in point). And it just feels sh*tty, unless you're one of those people who actually enjoys screwing others over, in which case you should seek therapy before the illness inside you seeps out any more.
SELLERS - It might be prudent to take a deposit from jokers like this, which unfortunately means everybody, since we can't necessarily spot the scatterbrains. I can't speak for anyone else, but I have the money, and if, for example, I saw the print on a website with the option to buy it immediately, I would have. Fleabay, Big Cartel, Etsy, Amazon, whatever. I'm not at all encouraging people to list things anywhere else but here, just trying to paint the picture so we can all have a better understanding of what keeps happening. It's a matter of the tools we use to make sense of our world. Peoples perspectives change dramatically, sometimes over night, especially when LOTS OF EMOTIONS AND MONEY are involved, as is true with most art.
Hopefully my recent negative impacts will serve as a learning experience for everyone. Thank you for naming and shaming, I deserve it, and again, hopefully something positive will come.
Happy F*ckin' Wednesday!
