I was prepared to not dump another wad of money on art, I wandered into my local gallery to see if by chance they had a print that had sold out that i wanted. Not only did they have a print but they also miraculously had an original by the same artist. His show had sold out in 20 minutes so I had long ago given up getting any of his work and voila but circumstances thrust one upon me and my credit card.
So I have to sell something to take the sting off, and since this isnt up on my walls yet its my candidate, but I am open to reasonable offers. I am not ashamed to admit I paid a premium for this print, but it is quite nice, and I'd really like to avoid the bay.

the lesson is DONT wander into your local gallery on a whim if you can avoid it. at least not with your wallet. not before the holidays.

the original I purchased is called count on a wander.
The artists's name is greg 'craola' simkins. He was a graffiti artist who is now doing what I'm hearing called lowbrow or pop surrealism. He also just put out a poster in the same series that the stella im hultburg marla print was released in...all based on movie characters, his was edward scissorhands...thats what drew me to his work.

I certainly made sure this one has to go on the wall because there isnt an art sleeve made that'll hold it!

Just looked on the bay if there were any other pieces by him up, but the only thing I could fine was a packed lunch box!!!
