it was before bonahms put the estimate value of 4-6K I think...the guy that sold that one is a forum member - ยฃ1300 to ยฃ1600 has been the general going rate essentially in parallel with the street pieces.

Think Tristan's box is incredible regardless of the final price (so much I just have to bid on it)

I would hardly say it means sh!t - A reputable auction house has estimated its value at that amount - I think everyone realises its an "estimate" and that it can go for more or for less...how else can you get an approx value, without someone valuing it.

If Neate still has some way to go his future is inevitable his current body of work is exceptional and endless. Times have changed and allot of these artist that have careers spanning 4 times longer than Mr Neate may not be have the same abilities as Mr Neate and audience.
Allot Graffiti artist have done well with the current movement interest, prices will rectify in 2008 with a small few demanding high prices even medium prices. Neates been around for time doing his street thing way before he was doing his free art on cardboard Neat has paid his dues.

Hey jfury - you should know I wasn't having a go at you at all - you know I like ya
Point I was trying to make is at this point in time it's quite difficult to assign a value to these as not many have been sold on Ebay thus far, and never at formal auction. All it takes is 1-2 bidders who really want something to jack the price up.
I agree with whomever made the point that if money wasn't the issue I'd go for Tristan's over the one at Bonhams. Happy New Year to all.
