But apparently they have reently changed the limit on insurance from the US to UK to $600usd. Fedex wants you to use private insurance and I wouldnt trust UPS with a package of sh1t.

Using a secondary insurance carrier is an excellent way to get the best coverage possible for artwork and help with the tax issues you would normally expect to face from the US... its far better than trusting USPS, UPS, DHL, or FedEx on their own and the coverage is for full replacement value.

By using the shipping agents insurance the full insured value is declared on the parcel, however using a secondary insurer means that the parcel doesnt have the declaration on it, then all you have to provide at time of shipping is a stated value for customs and shipping purposes....but that might be considered fraudulent
