each invasion is usually accompanied by a (sold out) show - he has been in a few museum group shows
Exit thru the Gift Shop has certainly given him a place with the first generation of street artists
there are very few people that don't like his street pieces and he has a good variety in his indoor work
something that also helps artists to stay around is the release of books (Banksy, Fairey, Faile, Swoon) and he sure has a lot of books out

Invader • Glow in the Dark IK15, by Shoot Again on Sept 19, 2013 16:53:47 GMT 1, I hear you, that's the beauty of the "game", we don't have to agree on everything ;-) Even if I don't know the artist myself (so my opinion is pure speculation) I suspect A LOT of "high end" gallery would love to have him in their portfolio... from what I've heard he just hasn't found one he fully trusts yet... As for "taking one's street work to another level once they moved into a gallery", I agree OG and Barry have improved by far but I kind of disagree on Kaws so... Anyway, I value your opnion (as you have great taste) but I still will hold onto my Invader Rubiks rather than on any Joe Black's newest "gallery" work ... just to name an artist we both discussed recently ;-) 2 original Invader will firmly stay in my collection until my 2 children get to their majority and time will show what will have happened by then ;-)

Invader has to maintain an impression of rarity and probably puts small batches for sale online (10 ? 20 ?) so that they quickly appear sold out. Wait a few hours or a day, then put the next ones for sale and so on, until it's actually sold out. This little game may last a few days. I'm not sure it will be good for flippers game ;-)

Only BIG difference .... this invader is not an Apple .... I still say the jump in price Invader made is just insane and in my opinion not fully warranted .... but no doubt ... at some point .... next month ... these will be sold out .....

But for invader to sell 200 at the high price that only a handful of people are willing to pay on the secondary market is a bit of a silly move... but time will tell!
He probably knows what demand he gets better than us.

The price is fair but a 2x price hike over his past kit, for a bigger edition, made me do a double take. I bought one and feel like what I paid is fair because he is my favorite artist and I think his work is just absolutely brilliant, but I can understand some of the hesitation.
