Opted out after seeing the price. Way too much.
If you had the choice of a HF Dran at €750 or a kit I would pay for the Dran but a kit at that price is ridiculous! There is just not enough gone into it the command that at source IMO.

Still for sale on invader shop I bet the ones on eBay don't get sold and I bet a few flippers cancel their orders !

Think they will sell out though, or be pulled for sale later.
I remember the faile books last year everyone saying they were priced too high(me included) really regret not picking one up now.
I think a lot of people are looking at it as though there is no money in it, because they are priced as if its the secondary market price.
For me, I just can't afford to pay that at the moment.
Hope all those flippers have somewhat burnt fingers on this one though

Why does everything need to sell out immediately? There is a reason why his previous releases sell out under 30 seconds and it's due to people flipping his stuff.

This is the largest invasion kit he has released to date and it is GID (which IMO fits well with the space invaders theme). Let the artist make his money so he can continue putting out awesome pieces on the streets of the world for us to view for free.

It's more about them using bots to automatically buy them, if the first drop sells out really fast then they will assume its over and give up. Meaning more available for fans that want em. Clearly it has worked because in all honesty even at the price 200 probably wud have gone already if they dropped at the same time, just because of the hype. Spreading them out has ment that some idiots have got sold out in seconds on desc on eBay wen there still available now. If only true fans really buy the ridiculous priced drops on eBay just because they really wanted it and missed out, then there clearly gunna be the sort to check the space shop first, so money to invader not to flippers. It's also good really because people who haven't really got the funds have had time to ponder, it's so easy to buy knowing it'll b gone in seconds and then regretting it cause u really couldn't afford it.

shootagain, I agree, but there is absolutely nothing that can justify the current price:edition size ratio.
Of course I agree that artist's prices should rise as demand increases, but at a steady pace.
€350 to €750 in one year? OK, so the materials cost more. Compared to what? The buttons he was paying for his usual materials. That just shows how high the profit margins were previously.
Where does his future kit pricing go from here? Down if anywhere. He's left himself with no room for movement for at least a couple of years and he's taken the wind right out of the bottom end of his market. 20 years is a long time. He should be planning ahead.
The re-seller argument is a non-starter. You of all people know that re-sellers contribute to a sustainable market. Around 25% of the previous kit changed hands in it's first year and at a guess around 10% will change hands this year. It's a small price to pay for the positive effect it has on his market. He'd pay more in conventional marketing.
This kit will be marked sold out soon, but you can almost guarantee he'll be sitting on 100 of them for the next year or two.
