Invader โข Glow in the Dark IK15, by kendo on Nov 27, 2014 22:05:39 GMT 1, Wow, I hope you get this sorted as that doesn't look good. I'm quite surprised that your framer was happy to give this back to you in that state - surely he is bound to know that the tiles aren't supposed to do that! Even if he wasn't aware, common sense would tell you that it isn't right.
Did you inspect it when you picked it up? I can't imagine that it magically took that shape from when you received it from the framer and from when you opened it!
I hope you can get it back in one piece and it is just a pressure issue. I would hear the framer out to see what he has to say incase there is a reason but ultimately I would be looking for a new framer!
Good luck

Invader โข Glow in the Dark IK15, by bigtlt on Nov 27, 2014 22:27:47 GMT 1, It has 2 sheets of film, no silicone. Indeed I handed to the framer in its original packaging with cardboard bubble wrap etc on either side so there was no chance of it moving. Pretty sure the framer has removed the film on both sides, looks terrible, and worth not much anymore. s**tty situation Take it back to the framer, explain you're not happy and worried about how it looks, ask him to open it up and show you what he did.
If he did remove the film on both sides the blame is completely on him. Claim on his insurance and hope you can find another one quite soon.

I framed mine and they were quite floppy on the sticky film. If the mount is creating a space between the tiles and the glass then they are just slipping and some are moving towards the glass. Take it back to the framer (they havent ruined it) and ask for it to be stuck to the backing as that will stop the slipping.
I have mine touching the perspex front so they dont slip.
good luck...
cheers kerry

Will see exactly how it was done with the framer but if the films is still there on the back I see 2 options : - keep the film on the back, but remove the mount, so the glass is directly against the kit - put some film on the front, take the film off the back and stick it to the backing, then remove the film on the front and reframe
Option 1 preserves the kit somewhat, but option 2 would look better and ensure no more moving around

Invader โข Glow in the Dark IK15, by Matt on Nov 28, 2014 13:36:40 GMT 1, Talked to the framer, film was indeed removed on both sides.
The board has been cut to the size of the kit which has been nested there.
Combination of these two things explains why it is moving around (no film and pressure from all sides)
Next step is to stick the kit to the board so it does not move, and perhaps press it against the glass for additional safety.
