Visit Bangkok ๐น๐ญ Thailand Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Martin Whatson on Jul 10, 2010 23:25:20 GMT 1, I know they have been busy moving their studio to the posh area of town. But the old one was a gallery in it's own sense! Other then that. Enjoy the culture. Drink a couple Chang for me and eat green curry. They also have a national gallery that I've heard is quite nice. Never been tho. Have a great time. Peace.

Visit Bangkok ๐น๐ญ Thailand Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Deleted on Sept 10, 2013 14:17:21 GMT 1, I was in Bangkok last month, not much indeed except that Burkruk event. You can still see some of the graffiti when taking the skytrain (Mo Chit - Siam/National Stadium).
There is one tiny gallery you can visit which is called "Art Gorillas" at Siam Square. I went there and bumped into Jon Burgerman exhibition.
If you wanna meet the artists, best place is to send messages to street art Bangkok pages on Facebook - like www.facebook.com/bkkgraff. Artist named BON is from Thailand and he was mentioned in another thread. Otherwise, BKK is home to Mau Mau and Beejoir. There is another rising artist called Pakpoom Silaphan.
If you go to Art Gorillas at Siam, ask the lady for the "movie poster" shop (if you are into movie poster) This guy is a passionate and has a huge collection of vintage Thai posters, bit pricey but you can negotiate price. Had lot of fun there !
Next to Siam Square, there is the BACCC (Bangkok Art Cultural Center). A nice building with two or three exhibitions, and it's free ! Don't go the Modern Art museum, a bit boring...
There is a nice retro flea market that take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, called Rod Fai market.
And if you like vintage stuff, this place worths a visit - www.bangkok.com/magazine/papaya.htm - Location: Soi Lat Pharo 55/2, Lat Pharo Road Wang Thong Lamg, Bangkok 10310, Tel: 02 539 8220.
Cheers

Visit Bangkok ๐น๐ญ Thailand Street Art, Galleries, Events, by set0312 on Mar 18, 2014 5:17:10 GMT 1, BNE is up everywhere. Not worth checking out because you can't miss him/them. The best street art was done for a street art festival they had in 2013. The Bukruk Festival.
Here is a map bukruk.com/festival/map/ that shows the areas.
Pull that map up and these instructions will make sense. The best spot to see street art is section 3. Right off the Ratchathewi BTS stop in a vacant lot. Some really cool stuff. Has both a Thai and international feel and works super well with the environment. If you wander the alleys next to the lot, there are a few smaller pieces as well.
Then cross over the bridge and head towards the khlong (aka little canal) and look for the art along the canal. (Scetion 4) Nothing spectacular there, but worth a shot--and the walk is fun if not a bit smelly.
Section one has a few decent pieces--nothing to write home about--in the midst of an outdoor mall. It's called Siam Square. Worth wandering, but be warned that place can get hellaciously crowded.
The Bangkok Art and Cultural Center (section 2) no longer has street art but is free and generally has exhibitions worth checking out. Also, the tiny stores they have in there are pretty fun.
Aside from that center of town, the street art is pretty spread out (very hard to seek out.) I've seen an Invader off a freeway but those are generally pretty hard to find. Khao San Road may have a few still up. There are random pieces in a few places.
Let me know if you want restaurant recommendations, or anything like that.
Hope this helps.

its either that or spend your time drinking with a bunch of creepy & seedy 50+ sex tourists in nasty leeds shirts & pristine white trainers

Visit Bangkok ๐น๐ญ Thailand Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Loobaz on Jun 6, 2015 13:27:26 GMT 1, Great snaps, Robert!
Man, I wish I had snapped a few of the Ludos I saw in Bangkok. One was next to a khlong (river) I think heading from Phetchaburi MRT station to Sukhumvit Road...
Sukhumvit also had quite a few bits by Alexface and Bon... a great scene over there it seems.
