Looking for avid supporter/follower of Banksy to interview, by jessfrancis on Aug 27, 2013 9:42:00 GMT 1, im interested mate contrary to some peoples claims im a fan of and admire banksy Well here are the questions: (anyone who wants to answer some of them, one of them all of them, please do! looking for a variety of thoughts)
1. How would you define Banksy? 2. Banksy has a vast collection of work, what would you say is your favourite? 3. And what would you say is one of the most prominent pieces? 4. How do you think Banksy has influenced society? 5. Do you think he's political because he is and wants to 'make a change' or just because he wants to include political messages in his work? 6. Do you think he convey's any messages in his work? Does he do this effectively? 7. Do you think there's a relationship between art and politics 8. And finally, how do you think society responds to Banksy?

Looking for avid supporter/follower of Banksy to interview, by Happy Shopper on Aug 27, 2013 11:10:44 GMT 1, 1. How would you define Banksy? Artist and vandal
2. Banksy has a vast collection of work, what would you say is your favourite? Probably one of his events, rather than an individual work. Exit Through The Gift Shop in the Old Vic Tunnels. That was fun.
3. And what would you say is one of the most prominent pieces? Laugh Now (Monkeys with Billboards), or rats with signs.
4. How do you think Banksy has influenced society? Made them laugh a bit. Maybe think about art... and look at graffiti in a new way.
5. Do you think he's political because he is and wants to 'make a change' or just because he wants to include political messages in his work? I doubt he thinks his work will make the change, but it's spreading a message.
6. Do you think he convey's any messages in his work? Does he do this effectively? Most of the time, but whether those messages are meaningful is another thing! Sometimes it's just a one line joke, other times a social or polital point.
7. Do you think there's a relationship between art and politics Not always. Not all artists are have politics as a motivation.
8. And finally, how do you think society responds to Banksy? Tabloids love the idea of Banksy, so I guess Banksy must be interesting to many people (the idea of an unknown/masked rebel is probably quite fascinating).

Looking for avid supporter/follower of Banksy to interview, by Deleted on Aug 27, 2013 14:17:44 GMT 1, 1. How would you define Banksy? Stencil artist2. Banksy has a vast collection of work, what would you say is your favourite? People who enjoy waving flags don't deserve to have one3. And what would you say is one of the most prominent pieces? Girl with red balloon4. How do you think Banksy has influenced society? Has made street art more prominent/acceptable/enjoyable to a wider audience. I don't believe that he has improved social conscience at all through his messages - unfortunately. 5. Do you think he's political because he is and wants to 'make a change' or just because he wants to include political messages in his work? He genuinely wants to 'make a change'6. Do you think he convey's any messages in his work? Does he do this effectively? Yes, lots. Anti-establishment, anti-militarism, anti corruption (police, govt etc), anti-child exploitation, anti-imperialism. Yes he does convey these messages effectively, in most cases, and in a way that captures people's attention & imagination.7. Do you think there's a relationship between art and politics Not necessarily, that is dependent on the artist8. And finally, how do you think society responds to Banksy? Some love, some hate, some indifferent. Some local authorities preserve his work, others remove it.
