£17k for a piece without provenance (and you will never get it either, as we know Pest Control will not verify street art)? Good luck on that son... Even if you moved the comma a couple of places, I am not sure anybody would even offer you £170.

Just to play Devils Advocate here NM but i think the last couple of non PC COA Banksy street pieces sold (allegedly) for large amounts at auctions without any Pestcontrol prov.?, i remember saying at the time along with others that those sales may now open floodgates for unauthenticated street pieces, Just a thought thats all. Its a can o worms i reckon.

edit. Just to say here i am not JLady and i have no unofficial Banksy street works to protect etc. and indeed saving up for my winter logs for the woody is foremost in my mind presently.

Same collection since it was discovered. I can let this go at 17.000 GBP O.N.O since it has not been exhibited nor catalogued. But still very nice. private collection . one finder one owner, North London ca 2005, ca 32 x 22,5 cm - anti climb on verso , photo documented before framing. I bought from a high end dealer so I trust him. We need to act fast on those prices. Quite a lot of interest so far - I turned down a recent offer for 11k.... I need to sell in order to buy something big     ![]() ![]()

Your phrasing throughout has been rather clever, which would absolve you of any responsibility should some unfortunate person buy this under the belief that they have something genuine. And if you do seriously believe you have something genuine please tell us how you came to that conclusion. |
