Also, note that 200 people die of rogue elephant attacks in Kenya every year and most of them don't get any compensation whatsoever or low compensation (leave alone damaged fields by elephants)... while hundreds of thousands of pounds is spent to preserve elephants (like relocate 2,000 elephants from one to another park because there are too many). Also, most private parks/ranches here are owned by white-Kenyans (also called KC - Kenyan Cowboys), who are grand sons of land grabbers and often stupidly racists.
Sorry I don't buy that elephant tragedy... To me, it's a media-driven cause to fool people. Just like when they ask you to donate money against AIDS but at the end, you know very well that the money you just gave will go to lawyers' offices in NY in order to lobby politicians in EU/US and block production and exportation of cheap generic drugs in southern countries thanks to binding Free Trade Agreement (FTA); yes, they use your money to kill billions of poor people, mostly kids dying of pneumonia or tuberculosis.
The tragedy here is that killing is bad and we human kill animals because we also kill people. As Bob Marley says "Human race is just a rat race". The tragedy is that money from tusk goes back to mafias and terrorists. And it seems than more money is spent on arming rangers and fighting poachers that fighting terrorists or helping UN troops in Somalia. So instead of taking care of the problem at the root (have stronger institutions and laws, training of police/military/custom officers, reinforcement at borders, fight against corruption, etc.), we ask you to save a few elephants and arm small private militias under the order of Kenyan Cowboys, laughable IMO.
For wildlife lover, you better give donation for preservation of black rhino, lions and cheetahs.

Just saying that wildlife lovers should focus more on saving the black rhinos, the lions and the cheetahs !
Elephants will always be there, not sure about the formers. And there is actually non consensus on how to deal with overpopulation of elephants (to control or not control sale of tusk) as most countries in Africa are for a controlled stock control while Kenya and hard liners are for a total ban.

Well Bees can't kill Sharks, but you're right to be worried about the declining Bee population. All insects can pollinate, but we should try to keep Bees around. Or we'll be poking plants with Q-Tips for the rest of time.
Back to Banksy. A big fat nothing has happened so far.
Going off topic again, isn't amazing to think about the animal species that have never met before? I mean, if you take a donkey and show it to a blue whale, that's never happened before in history. Amazing.
