I guess the reason why I don't like bombing style of graff is that to me it's lazy and easy and requires no thought. I think of me as someone who can barely draw a straight line, and I know that I could go out and bomb the city and produce something of the same quality / imagination. I also feel that bombing can make good things just look rubbish given where they are placed.

I only speak to maybe give some insight as one of the major reasons why people dont appreciate a tag or throwup more. Its like any other abstract artform when trying to look at it, you need some context. A tag is the basic element the starting point for many of us as kids and although it might look sloppy it can be so complex. Its something that an artist as progressively gotten better at over decades and the progression can take many forms from readable to stylized to intentionally sloppy, much the same way say an artist starts with whatever reprentational element they use it progresses and regresses the longer they paint it daily thousands of times. Say a figure or a hand, an artist will paint it thousands of ways in their lifetime even to the point of abstraction say in Picasso's case. A tag can follow this same line starting bad to good to bad intentionally. Some of the handstyles from todays graffiti artists are the most beautiful examples of 10,000 hrs, 10,000 tags. Its intention and gesture at its best just look at Jose Parla who was able to translate this experience into fine art. Not every tagger cares to do this but it remains an artform just the same you just have to be able to take the time to learn and appreciate it. Well if you care that much about it you can learn, but if not thats ok to just have some respect is all I am saying.

Even some mad old bloke selling his crap, as well as a letter explaining some wonderful kids book. No one else about at 3.30pm Saturday when I swung by - was going to rip the door off and hang it on my wall but then I didn't want all the other s**t in the apartment so decided to leave it.  The real shame in all this is that it is all covered with mindless crap. I kinda hoped it would bring out the best of what is current in street art and we might see some really cool pieces in response to him putting stuff up everywhere. A global social media event, an opportunity to show the world what you can do or are about....and we get this Oh well, roll -on tomorrow

He opened the van, let people take pictures and video's for a while and then close the van up and just drive off??
And in all this commotion no one followed the van to see where it was going? Or no one took pictures of banksy's people (perhaps Banksy himself?)
