maybe I'm just a bit blankered by the whole thing but it seems to me that B is using the media outlets more than previous projects and it is actually part of the whole thing . Whereas I am sure there was the same outlet s active when Bristol show or exit was released but he chose not to use them as part of the experience ,? ?maybe I'm wrong. If can't yemember how I got ny ticket for the tunnels now or Bristol but sure there was no real interaction via Twitter etc. On here tree was always discussions photos etc, usually posted first by fragile, but none of this now it's all via media. That's the difference I see

It is slightly different though in the fact that yes he announced on his website before but now social media is watching this play out in real time globally. It's still paint on walls as it were but it's how the pieces are developing live more so than his interaction he is just pulling the strings. It is people's interaction with the pieces and each other that is being carried out through the media globally. Eg the pieces are pure for hours then they change and people interact with the change. It's not new in one sense but this is different due to the almost real usage of social media and how people react to each other and the pieces in real time time. Eg you can experience this without being there even though not the same as being there. This is only day 5/6 now there is a moving truck being tracked.

The real shame in all this is that it is all covered with mindless crap. I kinda hoped it would bring out the best of what is current in street art and we might see some really cool pieces in response to him putting stuff up everywhere.

Couldn't agree more, and I have to say that's how I also felt about the btm tag. As an aside I really thought the vid of their other work was pretty poor too...

 If you are looking for aesthetic value, or even aesthetic graffiti BTM is not a crew that concerns themselves with making anything look pretty. Besides the traditional handstyles and throwups what bombers care about is as much damage as possible in the best locations as much as possible. The video posted was very old but still inline with what you would expect from this crew. Tags tags throwups and more tags. The respect comes from knowing what it takes to do this much work in the streets over time. From a bystander with not much knowledge about graffiti I can see where tags look like scribbles but believe me these guys are the top of the foodchain when it comes to writers and streets. There is a tremendous amount of respect given, example below look at Os Gemeos nod to a lost member of the BTM crew just last week Jade Throwup on the Hat of their character Jade RIP.
