a little mudslinging is always good for cardio, no?
fact is, i am as guilty as the next art monkey - we are pouring good money on marks and stencils for our little walls to please ourselves and impress other art monkeys.
while knowing full well, it is obsene and beyond comprehension to the millions who are still starving/being abused.
we should all thank our lucky star/gods/whatnot for coming out from the right vegina at the place, right time.
and try our darnest to open our eyes as wide as we can and help whenever possible.

He asked me to provide my banking account number / wire instructions to send me a refund. A bit shady imo. When I pushed back he asked for the last 4 numbers in my credit card number. I would think they should have that and a refund should be super easy to process. Anyone give him that info and get a refund?

Anyone give him that info and get a refund? Yeah told someone to buy one and they recieved one instead of 2 and immidiately got the second payment back... She said she was pleased with them. Thing that pissed me off was the "gift" notice on the invoice and the "gift" VAT even though it wasnt charged... |

I have spent several hours emailing with them and talking to Visa, faxing documents to Visa (who is equally useless). Lots of promises but here I am a month later With out the cash or "signed" board.
So buy at your own risk. You might want to confirm with Weiwei if these are in fact legit. Once the expensive "signed" ones come out it will be interesting to see if they really are signed. I Weiwei doesn't come out and say it, I'll have a hard time believing it.
My advice save your money and go for the Amnesty International Weiwei boards or one of his prints. Hopefully no one else will get scammed.
