Leaning frames, by chads007 on Sept 30, 2013 17:39:36 GMT 1, I'm going to get some pieces framed but don't have space or inclination to hang them in the small flat til we move early next year. I'd rather frame to protect than not. There's not much space to keep the framed bits flat On the floor, don't even under the bed, so wondered if there was risk in the wood/wood mix frames bowing if kept against the wall at a small angle?

Leaning frames, by mouser on Sept 30, 2013 17:50:31 GMT 1, As long as they are decent frames, wrapped in thin bubble wráp to prevent scratching and leant wood on wood rather than placing pressure on the glass, then no reason why they wouldnt be fine, i have had pieces stacked this way in cupboards for years with no issues. Try to minimise the lean angle, keep at vertical as possible, reduces weight placed on the other frames in the stack and main weight suported by the individual frames. If you have a big size difference, seperating with spare pieces of thick card or ply will help spread the load.
