I'm in the $2k-$3k USD range. Unsigned's cool with me. The thing about trading up is say if I get up to $5k or more--I'd feel awfully guilty about spending that much on art, haha.
But yeah, I know for the most part the prices (despite them going up).
I'd love to have one of these: Grannies (u/s), Laugh Now (u/s), HMV (u/s), Girl With Balloon (u/s), Barcode (u/s), and Donuts (signed).
Let me know if you have any leads!

I know Grannies and borderline HMV----but Laugh Now, Barcode, and GWB are definitely more than that, correct?
GWB would be my all-time #1---so a damaged/frayed GWB would be totally fine in my book

Most folks know what they have or don't have by now.
A few years back I bought a damaged liita. Had a few splodges of blue tack on the back and a nasty black scratch on the front .. Where it to be honest should have been red.
Alas off it went back to the source and my account was .. Refunded.
So yeah that person still probably has a damaged liita... And it's probably fixable.. But in all honesty . You'll never see on the bay IMO.
As for prices .. Well they go up and down all the time , lets not talk about cyw.
Good luck on your search but treat it as a hunt. ( I did for barcode and it took an age....)

I doubt very much if you spend money on a Banksy print you will lose money ( providing you're not silly). You may not make a huge profit, but bought sensibly you won't lose money.

You may not think you're ever going to sell it on, but most of us have parted with art - either to upgrade, or pay off debts - which are far more important than a bit of paper with some ink on it. Went to a party the other week and someone had a life size CND pasteup on their loft wall. I'd never do it but it actually looked cool given the scene. But there is nothing like the long hunt for a desired piece, saving for it, tracking it down a finally hanging it. I know for me for some pieces that buzz of having it up never has worn off. |
