Farmyard Canvas Print, by gt750 on Oct 16, 2013 10:29:22 GMT 1, So I bought a canvas print at Santa's Ghetto a number of years ago. It's of a cow running through a farmyard with graffiti all over the cow. It would appear to be a frame or two before the picture on the left on page 152 of Wall and Piece. I love this thing and have no intention of selling it, except for maybe my kid's university fund.
I contacted Pest Control three years ago and they said... 'Thank you for submitting your authentication request. This piece is not eligible for authentication as it is an image of a piece by Banksy but it isn't a Banksy piece as such, which is why it wasn't signed. Please let us know if you have any questions.'
I haven't seen another one of these prints anywhere. Any opinions on if PC will issue a COA now, or if not what sort of value might there be on this print?
Cheers!

Why would they change their mind now as the same answer applies.
As Silky says, post a photo - and then expect to be sent away with a flea in your ear.

Farmyard Canvas Print, by Happy Shopper on Oct 16, 2013 16:03:25 GMT 1, If it was sold as a Banksy then I assume it should get a COA, just as an unsigned print. Might be worth trying again and saying you paid for it as a work by Banksy, therefore it sould be eligible for a COA. Unless... it was a decoration for the shop, made for show, but not for sale as a work of art... bit like a show poster really.

Farmyard Canvas Print, by gt750 on Oct 16, 2013 16:27:12 GMT 1, I don't have an easy way to take a photo and post at the moment, but if you know the image of a cow with graffiti all over being chased through a barnyard by a dog from Wall and Piece, I have the same cow but a frame earlier. I bought it a few years before Wall and Piece came out, as a Banksy from Santas Ghetto. The dude on the door even said the Hick Hop manifasto of 'when you grow up without subways and only cows you paint whatever you can'.
I have never seen the image anywhere else until very recently when it popped up on Flikr.
At the same Santa's Ghetto there was also a canvas print of a CCTV camera pole with wires hanging out and a camera dangling.
Performance artists have always made a living by selling documentary evidence of their performances, and I see this as in the same catagory, so I don't understand the issue.
As I said before, I have no lans on selling it, as I love the piece, but would like to insure it correctly, like I have with the other art that we share our house with.
