You should try dealing with LaBasse gallery! Just as bad. Despite me eating an email 3 weeks ago sayin try have my returned print back and I'll be getting my money returned I've not had any money back.

they seem to reply pretty quickly to facebook messages, but everytime they respond its with the same BS couple of weeks we are just getting them signed/bound/folded/packed ect ect ect.

I know it might seem fruitless but can forum members keep up the feedback and running commentary on their BookFace page… I think this will go someway to help persuade potential buyers/artists.

The addy on the domain is wrong. The company name isnt Laminate, its Drakun Lundon Limited.
Its address changed on Feb 2013. Its revenue upon founding was effectively 0.00, which makes sense why he presells editions in an attempt to fund production. People in the UK can reasonably file a class action case, which would be entertaining, particularly in discovery because you would end up calling all the aritsts in question into the cause, applying real pressure to the guy. People outside the UK can only effectivly cause action by attacking the shopping cart (big cartel) or processors (v,m,a,d) to initate fraud / chargeback investigations.

no address, but yet another promise, shipping next week according to them.

I held on due to FMO (fear of missing out) the stress isn't worth it.

I think, madeinnorway, that you and I are part of the problem. There are some people who have ordered from Laminate and actually received their order. I bought a Ray Caesar Self Examination, and it was sent quickly and is brilliant.

Given that Ray's prints sell for many thousands of dollars, and I only paid $50 ... well, I consider my purchase an absolute steal. But the few success stories do not justify the many horror stories. And even in my case, I sent several emails trying to confirm that I had even made a purchase, as there were questions about availability, and getting replies was slow and painful. In the end, I'm guessing that there are more collectors who are unhappy and feel ripped off than those who are quietly relieved that their print arrived and they dodged a bullet. Often art collectors are by nature gamblers, but this outfit pushes risk to new levels, and it is simply not prudent to give them money.

I'm posting this everywhere that the Laminate Media name appears so apologies if you keep seeing it.

I've been having issues with Laminate for the best part of a year and should have know they were trouble when it took forever to get the signed Geddes & Josh Keyes magazines etc before this order.
I paid for 3 x Faile Special Editions back in early December 2012…….long story short after numerous delays and promises of shipping dates etc a package arrived yesterday over a year since my order.
Inside the package was 1x magazine in a badly printed unsigned Faile box….and that's it….I paid £141 all in for that.
So I kicked off (again) and I also emailed Geddes, Josh Keyes and Faile copying in Laminate so everything was transparent – I explained the situation and so far Geddes & JK have very kindly replied and without going into too much detail I'm sure both of them will not be working with Laminate again……we also know that there were issues with the Sandra Chevrier release. I have not heard from Faile yet.

Overnight I received a refund for £94 which covers 2 of my missing orders – I have asked for a refund of the remaining £47 + £10 to send the one I have received back to him in Hull.
As yet he hasn't refunded this amount.

Anybody thinking of ordering from this company needs to think twice – as do any artist thinking about working with him – they are going to be exploited for his financial gain.

I've posted on his FaceBook but he just deletes the comments……and yesterday he had to turn off the 'comments' part of his whole FaceBook as I bombarded him and he couldn't keep up!

For anybody else having issues I have his new postal address in Hull which I will forward – there was a mobile phone number but no surprise that it's unrecognised.
