I dont think CYW was a dangerous mess, no one got hurt? (other then the random guy who was giving abuse, but you get that on a night out anywhere)
but i do agree it was a complete mess in that they had nothing set up like NBG.
compare the NBG to the CYW queue. there was nothing wrong with NBG as they had a ticketing system and security until the tickets were handed out. and everyone actually enjoyed themselves.

CYW just seemed like a total mess to me... POW denied the release, even as a mysterious queue was forming... then announced it and moved the queue to the main shop, then released at both shops anyway... and no ticket system (no one got hurt, because no one fancied confronting the queue jumpers)... which led to a Queue Jump edition of the print, etc, etc.
IF a print is released then an online lottery would be the way to do it.
