Invader arrested overnight in NY, by 11 on Nov 1, 2013 11:34:26 GMT 1, Throughout the BOTI show, the NYPD were quoted as saying that all (Banksy) pieces had been put up on private property and without a formal complaint from the property owner there was nothing they could do.
So, has Mr Miller bubbled him up and cashed in or am i missing something here.

Invader arrested overnight in NY, by vinzc on Nov 1, 2013 14:09:44 GMT 1, mr miller didnt make many friends in the art community today. seems quite counter to the business he's running. cant really run a gallery, and not be a fan of the arts. and really, no way you could even come close to making the argument that invader's work as offensive, or defacement of property...especially considering the scumbag is keeping the piece, and likely hanging it in his flat.
edit: and considering he's keeping the piece, there's no argument that could be made that he had no idea who invader was. being responsible for having an artist locked up for doing the same thing that he's been doing for years to make that lil princess of his so valuable is quite the b**ch move.
the more i think about this, the more it angers me.

Invader arrested overnight in NY, by kel on Nov 1, 2013 14:17:49 GMT 1, It may only be my view on Invader but I always think his work brightens up what are generally dull streets and walls. The piece in question would have looked stunning where it was. Clearly Mr Miller is as big a c*nt as you will find.

Invader arrested overnight in NY, by Con Art Studio on Nov 1, 2013 14:38:39 GMT 1, Throughout the BOTI show, the NYPD were quoted as saying that all (Banksy) pieces had been put up on private property and without a formal complaint from the property owner there was nothing they could do. So, has Mr Miller bubbled him up and cashed in or am i missing something here. if nobody (property owner) complains after the fact then there's nothing the police can do because technically no crime was committedโฆ BUT if banksy, like invader, was caught in the act of vandalizing then he would have been arrested and charged. Mayor Bloomberg specifically said if banksy was caught in the act then he would be arrested.

Invader arrested overnight in NY, by urbanxi on Nov 1, 2013 14:54:48 GMT 1, edit: and considering he's keeping the piece, there's no argument that could be made that he had no idea who invader was. I'm now expecting a collaboration piece by Mr B and Invader for Nov 1st...
"Keeping the piece" Mr Miller dressed a robber pulling down the invader piece (an actual mosaic)
Would be a great way to start a month of daily invader pieces...

Invader arrested overnight in NY, by spirit on Nov 1, 2013 15:05:32 GMT 1, No but police would have contacted him as the building owner to ask if he wanted to make a complaint.
Had Miller not wanted to press charges, Invader would have been released as no offence would have been committed.
If Invader is still under arrest then one presumes Miller did make a complaint.
And then took the work.
Nice.

Invader arrested overnight in NY, by barryh on Nov 1, 2013 15:09:34 GMT 1, from the link (just in case people cant be bothered to read it).....
UPDATE (7:30PM): I was able to reach Mark Miller on the phone this evening. โNo, Iโm not going to press charges,โ he said.
Miller says the police called him and told him that โwe caught someone putting something on your building.โ He wasnโt sure what to expect. โI had no idea at all,โ he says. โThey wanted to know if I gave him permission.โ He answered honestly, โno.โ
As first reported by The Lo-Down, Miller removed the mosaic from his building without destroying it or the brick, which is by no means an easy feat or advisable. โIโm not going to sell it,โ he said. โIโm going to hold on to it and cherish it.โ

any word on whether invader has been released then? if that's the case, he should have been let go at some point yesterday morning/afternoon, no?

Invader arrested overnight in NY, by randomname on Nov 1, 2013 16:15:06 GMT 1, This is why all of Banksy's pieces were in easily accessible areas. It's hard to run when you're stuck two stories up on the side of a building.
