Help me... Except SAN, I don't know a lot.
So... Even if agree with some of the above posts (clever marketing coup, it will help to raise the value of the artist, etc)
For me, I am just very thankfull to SAN to make these affordable release of this great, very difficult to get, artist...
They could also do an online release at 350$ with 100 pieces and watch the money flowing in, it would be sold out in minutes.
Even if I'm very disappointed not to be able to get this one, I don't think it would make a lot of sense to unload my frustration in a forum
So, IMHO: thumbs up and continue guys !

Probably a fun thing hunting for this print for all the Londoners, personally wouldn't mind doing so if I'd still be living there. Just a bit annoying when you are abroad I have to admit. This might just be the print of the year in my opinion.

as for this drop being ridiculous or whatnot, if I was in London today, I'd DEFINITELY try my luck with this... definitely more fun than sweating in front of the computer, and than being super pissed off when seeing SOLD OUT the second after (maybe) seeing BUY NOW button.. not to mention how much better it is than freezing out in the cold standing in a queue...
the truth is - popular drops can NOT be fair!.. either they sold out in sec online, or flippers queue with their families/friends, or the open edition kills the thrill of owning something rare and sought after.. it's all part of the game, and sooner or later you learn to live with it...

that's the truth, but it's easier for londoner and new yorker. When you live in other country it's very difficult. I live in paris and the last releases of important french artists (dran, invader, blek le rat....) were not in France.

That's what the artist/gallery wanted. Many prints by other artists are available only in person at specific galleries in specific cities.

I have always thought that queuing was kinda of nice, you get to meet other people and get out for a while instead of staying home in front of the computer.
I'm not in London but if I was I would have tried my luck as well.
No system is perfect anyway and queues are always a good PR move. It's more impressive to see people queuing for hours than, selling out online in 2 sec IMO.
If you don't want to queue, you still get the chance to get one online anyway.

Granted if they were free and it was a Santa Hunt it could have been fun! But to run around london (during one of the busiest periods) in the hope of grabbing one of 25 prints then having to pay for it sounds a bit harsh to me!
