Have to be honest the wild dog (think that's what it was), the one on the flyer, just didn't work. Very strange to lead with that image. The rest were brilliant and the scale was seriously impressive! A couple of them would of been too big to fit on a normal house wall...I mean that literally.
The sketches/ drawing were great. Much higher standard than a lot of the previous show sketches I've seen.
There was also an installation downstairs. Have to be honest...didn't get it. But hey ho.

Attended last nights show and just got a etching which looks fantastic by the way. Met some great people.always nice to chat to other art nerds lol
On the whole. The show was farcical. The organisation was a joke. I really feel for the people who didnt get a print. Laz said 50 were available so to take 10 away at the last minute when your customers have been waiting in the cold for hours and some travelled 250 miles to get a print was disgusting especially when the guy who worked there stated it was for their rich customers and needed to keep them happy. When I asked about why the show was sold out before preview night, again they sold to their and I quote"rich clients first" to me they should have given first refusal to the fans of daleast on preview night . I was really looking forward to buying a drawing of his, so to see it went to clients who could not be bothered to show up was a shame. Also did anyone notice the prices were higher in the gallery than on the email pdf? Unfortunately this is a gallery that cannot be trusted in my book and wont be buying from them again.
As for the twitter comment. Referring to dals fans as print monkeys is unsulting

DAL .. sadly has become a victim of perhaps his own success - whether his talent will resolve the bitter taste of some fans/collectors/flipperoonies , remains to be seen , but the fact remains - this kind of thing happens and will,, sadly i have no doubt... again.

Then later when picking the prints up was heard when handing the prints out to the monkeys enjoy your 2 grand. The atmosphere was awful in there and all items pre sold so there was hardley any interest. Worst customer experience at a show
