Good point.
The strength of this Obscure Banksy pieces? thread, started by vivalarepublique in 2013, derives from its purity — the fact it's dedicated to previously-unseen or rarely-seen works by Banksy.
That means it is intended for:
(i) confirmed Banksys; and
(ii) other works, but where the relevant posters are reasonably certain, on an informed basis, that such works are by Banksy.
Given the thread is a rare non-commercial haven on the forum, it would be regrettable if it were diluted by further ignorant or speculative posts along the lines of, "Hey guys, what do you think of this piece I found on [eBay / Catawiki / random website]?"
Many other threads already exist for these types of questions, the most prominent now being the one below:

Early Banksy Art, by jp on Jan 16, 2020 20:12:12 GMT 1, Not seen the polar bear holding the penguin above the Banksy Tag before I wonder if Banksy did the Polar Bear piece? I think probably, since it is clever and well executed. But does the average person know that Polar Bears live in the Arctic and Penguins in the Antarctic so are never seen together?

This comment surprised me, because I would argue there's close to zero chance the polar bear and penguin were created by Banksy.
Look at the aesthetics of the piece. It's that annoying, fussy style one gets from Photoshop 'Posterize' or similar software (which the likes of Martin Whatson are so heavily dependent on).
As for the tone and subject matter here, they too are at odds with Banksy's work. On the rare occasion the artist resorts to soppy, it's with children (e.g. Girl with Balloon), not animals. And I don't recall any cutesy animal imagery he's ever done without biting irony or cynicism also thrown into the mix.
For me, the polar bear and penguin are unfortunate, incongruent additions to the train. They fail to complement the rats and apes.

Well, if this is the case then it would not surprise me if mr Schofie will have a polar bear painting for sale in the near future which "might be by Banksy". Or perhaps he painted it himself?
Also possible I'm just full of cr@p... Pure speculation for sure.

Looking at these two images again, unless Photoshop trickery was involved, it seems the polar bear and penguin were sprayed over the last of Banksy's six apes positioned to the right of the rats.
My guess is that the top (chronologically later) photo was taken by the creator of the polar bear and penguin shortly after completion.

I was watching that, went from 99p to £60 odd in the last second. It looks like someone has wiped their arse on it though. I was trying to remember if laz was selling this one at the Banksy Mayfair show, but can't remember.
