This is a Banksy piece I saw at The Walled Off in the managers room. Not sure if it was displayed there or elsewhere.

Personally, I love this particular style of Banksyβs work. Reminds me of the massive LIITA that featured at his Arches show in Glasgow many years ago. I often wonder who ended up buying it and where it hangs to this day. Iβve a lovely space above my stairs that it would have sit nicely in - now, if only I had a time machine...

Early Banksy Art, by KaL976 on Jul 30, 2020 0:00:27 GMT 1, That is in colour. The wall was a dirty, sandy yellow and it got a lot of sun that year which is why it's quite faded even though it wasn't that old. The paint probably isn't the best either. The picture was taken with a Pentax K1000 and probably Fuji film.

Wow, thanks for posting! Were you at the show? Also, does anyone know if this sold and how much it was being sold for at the time?
Love the use of colour against the mixed grey backdrop. Banksy is down on himself on the card as that is an epic painting!

Early Banksy Art, by avec art on Aug 12, 2020 16:57:33 GMT 1, less impressive than many of the pictures in this thread, but still something of a curiosity. Sketch for Pulp Fiction. A point of note, the actors John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson and their bananas are drawn with a single line. Might not sound much but to achieve such accurate proportions that way takes huge natural talent and a loose hand.

Early Banksy Art, by avec art on Aug 12, 2020 20:13:00 GMT 1, not 300 gram recycled stock you can't (well perhaps you could see something). But that's not really the issue. I was actually telling porkies in the initial post, I adjusted it but special lunch had already quoted me by then. It's not a preliminary study, as I believe this was drawn after Pulp Fiction was an artwork. However it's not clear if it was drawn before the Pulp Fiction edition/s.
Does anyone know anything about a Santas Ghetto in Kingly Court just off Carnaby street in 2003? That's where this drawing originated

Love that top piece..
With regard to the fire starter peice, didn't some celebrity commission it for their house? It was in some lifestyle magazine years ago. Think it was a women in US? Anyone remember that?
