SECTION SUGGESTION!!!, by RBK on Dec 1, 2007 0:23:01 GMT 1, I've noticed this section is getting quite messy and hard to track posts. I suggest we change the main section to: Buying/Selling/Swapping with 3 sub-sections:
Looking To Buy
Looking To Sell
Looking To Swap
Your thoughts??? I think it would make the forum much more organized and easier to navigate.

SECTION SUGGESTION!!!, by jam on Dec 1, 2007 0:29:52 GMT 1, Seems like it works well on other forums... the only issue I have with it is they get very long and you have to use the search in the thread to see if you can find what you are looking for, so you almost are better off just searching the section itself. Always worth putting them up and seeing how it works out! 
If anyone is interested, I posted an idea I thought would work well for extended trades over on this thread:

SECTION SUGGESTION!!!, by robertlondon on Dec 1, 2007 1:05:43 GMT 1, While there are many parts of this forum I disagree with, one thing I do like is how this trading section has everything together.
By keeping everything together there are a lot more posts in one thread, so whenever you look at it, there's always a lot of new ads there. It's a bit like going for a rummage in TKMaxx.
On other forums where everything is in its own "Buy", "Sell" or "Swap" section, you log on each day and with less posts being made, it looks the same as yesterday. Change is painfully slow. I find it boring.
Perhaps a compromise could be if everyone began their title with the words "WANTED", "FOR SALE" or "SWAP"...?

SECTION SUGGESTION!!!, by dmandpenfold on Dec 1, 2007 1:30:46 GMT 1, the system works well (kind of) at the moment ie everyone can sell, barter, swap and buy on the one section, but i do find that various items disappear off the page very quickly and it can be difficult to track them down, splitting up into a couple of sections maybe helpful in slowing down the vanishing threads

Please don't start putting everything into subsections... it's just too anal. Other forums do this.
The joy of this forum is how this trading page and the general chat page are alive. They change constantly, quickly evolving.
I feel subsections will make it sterile.

SECTION SUGGESTION!!!, by ray on Dec 1, 2007 4:11:20 GMT 1, I agree with robertlondon. I really like the way it is now. I'd hate to see it change into a stack of sterile subsections. Maybe good for the flippers and professional sellers but not so good for the rest of the group.

Re the WK split I'm not keen on it as it is split into three long threads rather than three sections so it just keeps running and running...
