Framing original canvas, by Yeah Yeah Yeah Round2 on Nov 24, 2013 10:17:38 GMT 1, Any advice on framing an original canvas. I have a few that I wouldn't mind framing (some need protection from the kids lol). Any images / examples would be appreciated
Any pros / cons of using a Perspex box frame NIA kitchen environment?

Framing original canvas, by bjornca on Nov 25, 2013 19:39:54 GMT 1, Here's the latest canvas I had framed. Simple black tray frame, with about an inch gap between the canvas and frame (can't tell, but the frame sticks out about a quarter inch beyond the canvas).

Framing original canvas, by bjornca on Nov 25, 2013 21:41:43 GMT 1, Looks super mate nice one How do i post pictures on here can i do it from phone Are you getting your Handgun framed Have to upload them to photobucket, flickr or the like and link from there. I don't think I am for handgun - the piece is so large itself that I don't think it needs it.

Framing original canvas, by Manty on Nov 25, 2013 23:28:03 GMT 1, screws from behind im guessing?. Sounds horrendous. I use nails, long thin nails, nail to frame then bend around the back of the canvas
Sometimes the canvas falls out, but its easy to put back in :-)

Framing original canvas, by ®at on Nov 25, 2013 23:29:02 GMT 1, screws from behind im guessing?. That is what one pillock recommended to me.....ignoring the fact that the (extremely valuable) canvas was signed on the wood, not the canvas. He didnt seem to understand why i took issue with the suggestion.
In my humble opinion, as with any framing, it should be fully reversible & leave no trace.
