Sometimes the canvas falls out, but its easy to put back in :-)

He didnt seem to understand why i took issue with the suggestion.
In my humble opinion, as with any framing, it should be fully reversible & leave no trace.
screws from behind im guessing?. That is what one pillock recommended to me.....ignoring the fact that the (extremely valuable) canvas was signed on the wood, not the canvas.
