Prices are definately dropping at last, by jam on Dec 4, 2007 11:00:27 GMT 1, I was watching that one as I would like to have a nice priced QV. The problem with this deal is the seller already sold the print awhile back and traded feedback with the 'buyer', so the sale stinks of shilling or flat out fraud and I didn't like the private auction either.

Prices are definately dropping at last, by dynamixx on Dec 4, 2007 15:11:50 GMT 1, I was watching that one as I would like to have a nice priced QV. The problem with this deal is the seller already sold the print awhile back and traded feedback with the 'buyer', so the sale stinks of shilling or flat out fraud and I didn't like the private auction either. Agree, definately a sketchy auction, how can the seller have two of the exact same print? Also, feedback was left by the buyer of this one within just a couple of hours of this auction ending -
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130177419269
So unless they picked it up almost immediately, arrived home, logged on to eBay and then left feedback straight away, something doesn't add up.

Prices are definately dropping at last, by craigf on Dec 4, 2007 15:19:14 GMT 1, I think the nail has been truely hit on the head re the QV. There seem to be a lot of Banksy auctions going up a number of times, sometimes because of non payment, but shill bidding is a definite factor

the guy who was selling this print had a bunch of other auctions which did not meet reserve prices. It seems like nobody was willing to take much a of a crack at any of them. Prices do seem low accross the board

Prices are definately dropping at last, by RBK on Dec 4, 2007 18:22:18 GMT 1, Prices for a lot have unsigned have dropped over the past few months. If you are just realizing this you've missed most of the lull.
People are broke because of the upcoming Holidays and saving up their shekels to spend at SG.
I think the Dec. 12th auction at Sothebys is going to be telling. I don't think you will be seeing any price dips there.

Prices are definately dropping at last, by Rude Copper on Dec 4, 2007 19:37:54 GMT 1, i dont think there's so much of a dip, more of a restoration to correct level after the andipa show. imo, that was the show that blew the prices through the roof.

it did, i remember nu buying a signed gwb for 2k, 4 months later after la, it was 6k, 6 months after that, andipa put one up for sale for 18k, sold on the opening night, there was a guy who bought 2 steel pieces from the la show for 12k, andipa sold them for 42k, la was definitely the start of the rollercoaster, but andipa put a few loops & corkscrews in it.
