Anyone got anything else to share?
Here's mine.
It is with regret that I award The Vinyl Factory with the award for CRAP service.
I'll explain.
Back in October upon the release of the Massive Attack Battle Box singles 1 & 2 with Ltd edition covers by Paul Insect I jumped at the chance to order a copy of each.
As I had previously in September also ordered the Special Edition MA book (£350) I asked for the 2 items to be despatched together.
In mid November with the release of the expensive boxset being delayed again I was informed by Leighton Harris at VF that he had chosen to despatch my BB items to me.
Looking forward to receiving these I waited by the letter box for the first week.
Nothing arrived.
After 2 weeks I contacted LH to be informed I should give it a little more time.
After 3 weeks I was informed that Royal Mail can take up to 20 working days to deliver a parcel from West to East London so I should wait a little longer.
I waited & waited. Eventually I received another mail from LH stating that the items probably were indeed lost.
Unfortunately as they had now sold out of the BB2 cover they could only offer me 2 copies of BB1 or a refund on my order.
Pretty sure that I don't like the way that the mail implied that this could be my fault as I only chose 1st class delivery on my order.
Needless to say I have cancelled this order & the more expensive MA special edition order also, as I probably only chose 1st class delivery on that too.
I have since heard of other orders that are outstanding from October time & am simply disgusted with their level of service.

My experience with VF has always been positive.
I recently bought off ebay a limited edition vinyl that was sold exclusively in London's Old Spitalfields Market at the Indipended Label Market, in cojunction with Vinyl Factory. The cover of the record I bought from a flipper on ebay arrived slightly damages, so I emailed both VF and Indie. Label Mkt. asking if they had any spare covers and if they could send me one.
About a week later Leighton emailed me back that he found a spare cover and he would send it to me. To save on shipping costs I asked him if he could put the cover aside until I ordered something, so he could send it along with it. Then about a week later the BB singles were releases and I also ordered one of each, that were promptly shipped next day and delivered about a week later, with the spare cover of the other vinyl.
I ordered other records from them before and still neved had any problem...
Mikey, have you already tried contacting Laz? they had some BB singles for sale at Brutal exibition and they might have some copies left.

ilmambo, I have ordered many items through them in the past with no problems which is why it I posted "with regret".
I like your thinking with the Brutal though.
In the time this has taken I have been lucky enough to of been sent BB1 as a gift by a kind forum member & BB2 I recently bought on fleabay & had delivered quicker & for less than VF prices.
I've been a collector of MA & 3D since before VF were around so I was never going to miss out on these.
Thinking about using the same route on the 3DArt SE if they ever release it. At £350 a pop they should be a flippers nightmare.

Definitely not the kind of service you'd expect but I guess you really have to blame Royal Mail for your missing parcel VF probably couldn't do anything other than what they offered, a full refund or two copies of the first single, since they're sold out on the second...
Re. the 3D boxset I was very temped to preorded it as well, but decided to wait for it to be released and hopefully find someone looking for a quick sale and willing to let it go for a good price, or just a bargain on ebay.  Surely they won't sell out anytime soon so I wouldn't worry about it.

They let me have a pair of low edition numbers normally held back for band members etc.
Posted & received the next day.
Happy me.
Think I shall hang on to the award for future use.
