If this were a ยฃ500 print, I would have opened a dispute, in all honesty. The truth is that I would very much like the book and small original, and so I'm prepared to take a bit of a gamble considering the relatively modest cost. That's all.

So the artist himself doesn't even want to touch the issue with a ten foot pole. Ok. I've got 2 days left to open a dispute. And that just might be what I will do.

Agreed. All about principles here. Not an awful lot of money to lose but lack of any communication or acknowledgement made my decision a lot easier. Surely ppaypal will eventually cancel/freeze his account until this is sorted?

I'm very tempted as their customer service is a joke but they said on Jan 23 that output had been pushed back at least one month due to a technical problem and they are working to perfect the book. It also seems they've got numerous other monographs under production for release later in the year. If what they said is true, I'm sure they'll deliver at some point. I paid with a credit card so I'm going to let the dispute deadline pass and fall back on my credit card protection if need be. If I had paid with my PayPal balance, bank card or bank account, I'd probably file the dispute and go back in for them if/when I notice them being delivered.
