Keszler Gallery..........Anyone had dealings with?, by Poppy Sunshine on Jan 16, 2014 10:06:41 GMT 1, Ok, I assumed that he acted on behalf of the owner of the building/car door/seller to find buyers? Bearing in mind the average person finding a Banksy on their wall might not even know much about art dealers it would seem a massive coincidence that they all find their way to the same guy.
I would guess they get the knock on the door from him before they've even picked up the yellow pages.
Either way whether he's a robber or whether he's an agent he is a direct part of the problem when it comes to Street art disappearing from the streets.
i doubt he's on Banksys Christmas list and I suspect most forum members would be giving him a very wide berth.

I guess in some strange way. They all feed off each other.
The big dealers and galleres find rich buyers and the rich buyers and big dealers get the art into the mainstream media which creates a hype.
In reality why would anyone pay half a million for a basic sprayed stencil picture ?
For the art itself or for the name and the investment potential?
Banksy is free to spray on peoples walls and surely the owners of the walls are free to do what they want with their property.
If some big money dealer comes along and buys a pice of their property to re sell.
I don't see what unwritten rule they are breaking.

Keszler Gallery..........Anyone had dealings with?, by sin on Jan 17, 2014 14:40:55 GMT 1, The unwritten rule is you don't remove street pieces from the street. Removing them from their context can often destroy the entire intent. Also you take what belongs to everyone and make it the property of one individual.

Naturally, many people will try to make a profit at others expense... doesn't make it right though.
