Is this framing option available for any other Chevrier? Was thinking specifically of 'Where People Are Crying' which is 20" x 26"?

I think most of Sandra's print would look great framed like this adds a extra dimension to them.

New Chevrier Print......SUPER Framing offer!, by Deleted on Jan 30, 2014 21:19:30 GMT 1, Look amazing Gary considering you only got it this morning. I think most of Sandra's print would look great framed like this adds a extra dimension to them. Why does a finished piece of work require an extra dimension? Surely that implies the work is not strong enough in its own right? If I were the artist I'd be well pissed off that anyone other than said artist, let alone a framer, felt the need to 'add an extra dimension' to the piece.
It's a good point. I quite like this but I personally think there is a fine line where trying to be too clever with a frame, mount etc can actually start to detract from the art. That said, we buy these things to hang in our homes so if you like it a certain way then do it.

New Chevrier Print......SUPER Framing offer!, by Mister Frame Man on Jan 30, 2014 21:40:04 GMT 1, I guess it is all a personal point of view, on this occasion the artist isn't "pissed off" and has commented on a good job as well as sharing the images on her Facebook page.
I do however agree that some artists would be offended, but I would say that says more about them than it does the framer or the person hanging the piece on their wall!

It's not my sort of thing, but hey it's art it's created to decorate your walls.
And I'm sure Sandra takes it as a compliment that someone would go out of their way to create hand made fillets/spacers for her work.

Don't necessarily think this is for me but I do appreciate the quality of the job. *tips his cap*

An artist is there to inspire people! (Amongst other things)
the frame takes nothing away from the Peice but shows how talented the framer is in coming up with something that is inspired by the Peice! Ok he's done this before with a MW Peice but all the same looks amazing!

New Chevrier Print......SUPER Framing offer!, by .dappy on Jan 31, 2014 1:51:43 GMT 1, ... you take a piece of art ...you hang it on a wall ... which room ... which wall ... position on wall ... height ... centre ... different areas of light depending on the day ... different shades of light ... white ... black ... blue ... yellow ... metal ... wood ... frame ... perspex box ... museum or other glass ... natural light ... spot light ...
all of these things affect how a piece of art looks to you as the owner ... to people who visit your home ... to the artist who created a piece ...
I did this ... Polly likes it ... probably not how she envisaged it ... but she likes it ... and I like it ...
(keep up the good work Gary )

New Chevrier Print......SUPER Framing offer!, by Mister Frame Man on Jan 31, 2014 8:46:04 GMT 1, Looks great Gary. Is this framing option available for any other Chevrier? Was thinking specifically of 'Where People Are Crying' which is 20" x 26"? I am sure that wouldn't be a problem, we have a very good comic shop here in Norwich so I can take the print to the store and make sure we get the correct characters etc.
Don't know if you noticed but we actually found the blonde woman in the image in a comic to use for the spacers!

New Chevrier Print......SUPER Framing offer!, by graffuturism on Jan 31, 2014 9:47:40 GMT 1, I have to agree that the spacers are overkill, especially on this print which is already so busy itself. Its all preference for the individual But I definetly think a image this busy needs some room to breathe and maybe that is white on white. Also not a fan of the colored spacer in general.

New Chevrier Print......SUPER Framing offer!, by longshanks on Jan 31, 2014 10:46:05 GMT 1, it's funny - everyone getting heated over personal taste - of course they're going to differ, hence the 'personal'. Whilst for me I prefer a more simple framing approach, and perhaps this would be a bit too much for me - I think what MFM offers is something others cant. I think it ties a print and the framing together in a new way - that merges the two to create a whole new piece. Some might not like this, others certainly will. But you can't deny that it takes a certain amount of experience, skill and creativity to do.
At the moment I'm deep into an art addiction, and my walls are filling up quick, so framing like this would be too busy for me - but if it was just the one on the wall I reckon this would look great, and turn it into a real centre-piece perhaps

New Chevrier Print......SUPER Framing offer!, by curiousgeorge on Jan 31, 2014 13:03:13 GMT 1, So we have a gallery dismissing the polite opinions of potential customers with a "whatever get a life" and a framer bemoaning some artists not liking hand finished frames on work the artist produced.
That'll be a sure fire way of getting customers running towards you with handfuls of cash
Every day is a school day
