Surprised he isn't dead yet (not from being obese), he's been shot at and had his life threatened a lot somewhat recently by a gang out of Chicago.
In his music he name drops Larry Hoover a lot who was the leader of the Gangster Disciples and currently serving I think 6 life sentences. The GD are a pretty serious organization and the members apparently don't appreciate him throwing his name around and felt they owe them money for cashing in on one of their leaders. Add to that, he touts a gangster lifestyle in his lyrics like moving kilos of cocaine and what not (even chose his Rick Ross name after the actual Rick Ross drug kingpin) but the guy was a correctional officer at a prison for a while before making it in the music industry. So the issue was he pays them the money they're trying to extort and sets the precedent that he can be punked by gang members and they can keep making him pay, or he doesn't pay and has dangerous and stupid people all over the place looking to murder him over lyrics. So he didn't pay and now he looks over his shoulder. Also why the album cover is a little more interesting with the whole gun to his head thing.

Tical was an alright album, had some good tracks but then Tical 2000 (I swear half this album was skits), Tical 0 and 4:21 are all forgettable. He's never been the best out of the group but when he works with all of Wu, Redman on the original Blackout! (let's not talk about Blackout 2), etc. he shines, definitely eclipses anything solo. I don't even know that the original Tical album would break top 5 in Wu Tang solo albums in my mind. Great performer though I always enjoy seeing him live, he's got a lot of energy and I'm by no means trying to hate on the guy, he's a legend and I do love his work.
