OUTIS • Print Release • Street Art, by Dexter Bulldog on Apr 21, 2014 2:23:04 GMT 1, Not according to ebay prices. ebay completed sales prices are no measure of true value. I recently listed a very desirable and valuable print as a 99p starting auction which soon realised an amount of £4500 that I would have been more than happy with. However, in the closing stages it was bid up by two bidders by more than another £1000, more than the same item was available from other sellers as 'buy it now'. The winning bidder didn't pay nor respond to my messages. I then offered the under-bidder a 'second chance' option to purchase, he didn't respond either, which caused me to do a little digging on both users. It came as little or no surprise to learn that both accounts belonged to the same person, even less so to discover that they are a long-term member here who owns the same item and whose sole interest is to artificially inflate the perceived value. wow, that is really crappy.

Considering the amount of money ebay makes from sellers, their policies or some of them should be declared illegal
You can't leave negative but only positive feedback for buyers.
Quite often other sellers of similar things play at ruining rivals auctions using other ebay accounts by bidding high and then going quiet or by bidding high and then retracting the bid near the end and of course if an item gets bid up high and then the buyer goes quiet and doesn't buy.
It can kill that item from being sold again on ebay.
