sucking up to galleries has been mentioned before and i still have'nt seen anywhere near enough of it for my liking  i don't agree "motive is simply money", you're kinda pigeon holing everyone, i have ethics and they are'nt simply money, i know other gallerists who have a passion for art and ones who are solely selling a product...

When I saw the graffiti prints post " it's 99.9% not Banksy" I didn't think they were trying to fool anyone. Seemed like a tongue and cheek comment to me. I'm surprised people actually thought it was Banksy to be honest. Thats what i was thinking tbh, tongue and cheak, i'm 99.9% sure noah did'nt fit 2 of each of all the animals on his boat but thats another matter... i've been ignoring the word outis because its like an endless game of tabletennis but i don't really believe gp went out to trick people?? Wear you deserve a pay raise if you have to read every post on hear, just to subsidise you're caffeine intake

The fake BOTI Facebook page (with link to this print), the use of the Banksy rat on the print, the "if you took away the Brand name..." promotion, and "mystery" artist with demands on exactly how the print would be realised... ONLY THEN Graffiti prints mentioned being 99.9 % sure it wasn't Banksy...
None of this makes you think there was some trickery involved?
It's pretty clear that even those claiming to have bought just for the image still want to believe its Banksy.
Fooling themselves.... And I feel very sorry for people buying at even higher prices on eBay!

Banksy did a few great 'illegal' pieces during BOTI, interestingly subverted by his fame that almost entirely legalises them.

Outis stole the Banksy rat, although it's meant to be the JPS's rat who had previously stolen it off Banksy, who drew inspiration from Blek le Rats rat. Blek le Rat is french and the prints went abroad for signing but the signature is blatantly not French.
