An idea, by manty on Dec 17, 2007 23:16:56 GMT 1, Could we have a good guy bad guy section here please
I have done a fair few purchases from people on here which have always been great, some for a few hundred quid, other for a little bit more :-)
What would have been good is if say i bought a print from a nice chap called 'mr nice' i could add his name under the good guy section with a quick note saying a few comments about the transaction. If then other people traded with mr nice they could add their comments under his heading
if on the other hand i bought something from 'mr nasty', and he sent me an empty tube :-( I could put his name under the bad guy section with relevant comments
I think alot of adverts are put on this forum, but without any third party refs it can be a bit off putting
So there you have it !

It doesnt have to be specific to the item
In the good guy section mr nice would get his own litttle thread
<Header> Mr Nice
From manty < detail > good comms, would deal with again Then the next person that deals with mr nice, can add his comments to the mr nice thread
Would need a an admin boss person to sort out the sections i reckon
:-) i confused myself again, so good luck !!

Yeah, was kind of my point to negging you Mike, i reckon you could be the perfect seller, but your respect could be shite for other reasons, there are some thin skinned folk on here!!

and thats why the referances should be non specific, "dealt with so and so, all worked out, would deal with again"
anyhow, just an idea :-)

This where people can talk about there past experiences and what not. In your sig you can direct potential buyers to the page where you are listed for reference. Like kidrobot.com. Or Instead of Karma (which basically means nothing because you can buddy up your peeps) have work as feedback in terms of sales and trades that went well or bad. By making an agreement that gets updated along the process of the sale from payment sent, payment received, items shipped item received. Then you close the agreement. After that each party give their feedback. Good or negative , which work out as a +1 or -1. This is used on Iss forums in solecollector.com. Now that I thik of it, Karma can stay as well, just for good deeds that were respected by other members like non heavy mark ups.

An idea, by wazandy on Dec 18, 2007 4:20:42 GMT 1, The last three posts I've made have been:
a) congratulating someone for going to Santa's Grotto.. b) Helping someone with some framing advice.. c) Trying to come up with another way of stopping the ticket touts.
And I went from -6 to -20 reputation in an hour.
So, can anyone give me any reason why I'd want to even think about trading prints in here? Looks like even if I did put some up, I'd look like a dodgy p*ick anyway.

I gave you one back, because looking at your entire post history (wow I have too much time on my hands), I didn't see anything that looked worthy of negging personally!

Completely agree with you. I started a thread yesterday about not liking the new banksy print - i turn the computer on today to find that Ive been negged, and accused of being a sour grape, for opening a pointless thread and clogging up the forum. The thread was then locked! You would have thought Id bloody killed someone. Some people seriously need to relax! Bring on the negs!!!!!!

They have a 'respect' system that can only be used after a trade - works much better.
As things stand here, a totally straight seller could have -100 respect because he said something that offended the lurkers. It doesn't work, IMO.

A nice feature of that one is 'Match Maker' which lists out all the other members or trading the items you're interested in. They also have a designation for members who have completed a successful trade.
