Shepard Fairey @ Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, by yoyosh on Jul 7, 2014 2:31:33 GMT 1, I was in Charleston over the weekend and was able to check out Sheps show at Halsey and most of the street pieces. Came away with a much greater appreciation of his studio work. The prints are nice but many seem to run together after a while. The work on canvas is stunning in person. The most interesting street pieces to me were both the Obey giant overlooking Charlestons historic Marion Square Park and the stunning installation at a closed theatre (the Sottile Theatre).
