Zurich, by Hubble Bubble on Mar 4, 2014 19:28:23 GMT 1, I did Ironman Switzerland there a couple of years back… I was so knackered I just rolled over and let them financially have their way with me. Beer never tasted so good or expensive. The trip to the Lindt chocolate factory was absolutely calorific too

Zurich, by charlie on Mar 4, 2014 19:54:46 GMT 1, Just back from spending a year there - lived in Zurich West, if you're looking for street art head to the Letten river in Zurich West, best in the summer though when it's packed. Also look up StarkArt on google for some great shows. Drop me a PM if you need any more info, like bars/restaurants/things to see. C

Zurich, by noirrion on Mar 4, 2014 21:39:36 GMT 1, Rote Fabrik is a nice area with a lot of Graffiti.
But if you have time you should come to Basel. Just 1 hour by train. Foundation Beyeler (www.fondationbeyeler.ch/) is amazing. Additionally Kunsthalle, Tinguely museum or Vitra museum are always worth to visit. And Basel plays better soccer than Zurich Enjoy your stay

Zurich, by trax51 on Mar 5, 2014 10:39:03 GMT 1, Hi Search
Starkart should definitely be on your radar if you come to Zurich. I am co-curating the current show NO(W) Here and would be happy more than Happy to take you for a Gallery tour In the Gallery neighborhood you can also find some nice street pieces (C215 and co)
Other places to visit if the weather is nice are : Letten Badi (already mentionned earlier, just behind the main trainstation) or the Rote Fabrik (just outside the city, on the lake shore, our "5Pointz"
Except that, there is a couple of other galleries worth a visit: Trace Gallery (Good Kinsey show last year), Kolly Gallery in Seefeld (Current show with JonOne)
If you need any specific information, please feel free to get in touch, I would be more than happy to show you some of the places around Cheers Julien

Zurich, by Deleted on Mar 6, 2014 16:27:08 GMT 1, I've never been to Zurich but I have been to Switzerland for just one day and visited Geneva.
From what I saw it is absolutely beautiful and the people were so friendly.
As they say though, it's also bloody expensive !

Zurich, by searchandrescue on Mar 12, 2014 23:19:21 GMT 1, Thanks so much for all the recommends. Special thanks to trax51 for his generosity and making me and my friends so welcome. Really liked:
Talacker Bar, found it genuinely quirky Kaufleuten, was in the street side bar on a quiet nite but good service and cocktails Rote Fabrik, rocked up there with no agenda, was a bit like a mini truman brewery, would like to go again when I know what's on. Restaurant Reithalle, was neat, again on a quiet nite but a nice place to meet / eat / drink
Last and best, starkart, can't recommend enough. Thanks again to all those responsible for the current show.
