An original photography printed on canvas as been sold at Art Curial auction last month, for 27300โฌ! the size was something like 70X100 cm and the subject was his famous "Portrait of a Generation โ Ladj Ly by JR ", dated 2006

Even though it is a JR surely this is not the subject and "iconic style" for which he is known now so determining its value, and finding a collector (aware of the historical importance of such a piece), will be hard. Dealing with originals JR is not an easy thing due to their actual value (and potential) and the subject which are not always "easy" for the eye. But JR is in control of its market, and especially what happen on the secondary market willing to avoid too much speculation on his work, so, from my own experience, I would try to contact the studio directly they might be willing to buy it back or at least give you a kind of estimate.

I love JRs work and have followed him for years but this piece does nothing for me personally. I'm sure a collector would be interested but at the right price.
