Bisser ๐ง๐ช Belgium Street Art โข Print Release News, by cyberkid on Aug 22, 2016 12:19:44 GMT 1, Must also remember he's young and we all make mistakes..he has been checking this thread. Obviously with some of his print releases with galleries and some of the issues there etx, he's wanted to start another approach with selling periodically directly to fans. I think a lottery approach would have had better intention, and I wouldn't be surprised if he switches to this in the future with the feedback he's had here no worries. he will try several possibilities... i am not sure why he's still in cooperation with graffitistreet. in my opionion his first artworks were overpriced. this was maybe a non-optimal start...but we'll see. he's young and talented and I enjoy his artwork !

Definitely back fired a bit so he wants to sell direct :-) I think he has an auction for charity with them, but don't think he's associated with any gallerist at the minute

Bisser ๐ง๐ช Belgium Street Art โข Print Release News, by gilsteph on Aug 22, 2016 13:09:34 GMT 1, I was OK with the blind auction. He give minimum prices and then it was down to others to decide whats its worth. I bid for two and got one. Personally I didn't bid over the odds and am happy I managed to secure one but would have been ok if I hadn't have got either.
Every method of selling your work has upsides and downsides.

This sums up my opinion too, although I might be biased as I also secured one of the smaller pieces (for a decent amount lower than the price in the PDF, for what it's worth).
I'm finding it difficult to understand the bad feeling about this - this is someone selling their own work rather than trying to profit from someone else's, and it felt like a pretty fair way of doing it. If you like something, bid what it's worth to you - if someone else is willing to pay more then fair enough.

I suppose having been successful you would be happy. Congratulations
I wonder if he will be advising those who didn't bid high enough that they were unsuccessful.

Funny when someone didn't bid over the odds and one below the price that they get them?

Please take offence but find it hard to believe you got a piece UNDER guide price. In a blind bid situation, I can't imagine offering under an artists price, even from the angle of offending them ha ha?!!
Care to divulge which piece?

Well I didn't get one of them. I did managed to snag Devil.....and in case you were wondering I don't have any special connection or contact, just put a bid in and won.
Im guessing Devil that wasn't a popular choice...

More than happy to, but I'd prefer to wait until payment is made and all confirmed to avoid jinxing it... In his email he said he'd be sorting out the sales today.
I hadn't considered that a lower bid would cause offence to the artist, I just offered what it was worth to me / what I could afford to pay. I only mentioned it here as an example that this bidding process seemed to be handled pretty fairly - I wasn't asked to make a second bid or anything like that.
Big fan of Bisser, and was longingly watching the Graffiti Street auction for his 15 minutes piece Sadly it was out of my price range, plus my wife would never let me hang it at home...

Bisser ๐ง๐ช Belgium Street Art โข Print Release News, by BKBOI on Aug 22, 2016 17:44:30 GMT 1, Because people in the For Sale thread are selling to the public. Bisser sent out this email to people in his mailing list. Think best thing is to unsubscribe if you find the practice distasteful. In all honesty, I also find the practice just wrong. Name a price and state if it is firm or negotiable. Did you unsubscribe? I appreciate the process as he sets the prices really low (and many of us get a chance at a piece we really like), vs when posters are all acting like giddy little insiders as they have access to something others desire with an inside look and making a point of saying so on the message boards....... A lot of complaining about distasteful things around here while people act with no grace or class. (not saying you do that, btw) But removing all that...dude is just trying to figure out how to make his art accessible to people. The funny thing is I am not even on his mailing list. Congrats to those who were able to buy an original direct from Bisser.
