Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by preston on Apr 25, 2014 17:05:13 GMT 1, A couple of things:
1/ The shirts were meant to be "100% Organic Cotton". According to the label, it's not. 2/ Paypal would be a better indicator of how many of the shirts were sold, and I'm sure they are now looking into this due to the number of complaints filed.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by Agent Provocateur on Apr 25, 2014 17:13:32 GMT 1, anyone have ideas on framing this? Yep...
Insert head and arms into the large whole at the bottom of the t-shirt, shove arms through small side holes at the top and head through the bigger central hole, pull down and smooth. All done, t-shirt framed.
Then head for front door, go to a pub, forget about BNE and get drunk.

I was thinking about doing a collaboration tee (of sorts) and donating 100% of the proceeds to charity. They'll be limited to 100,000 pieces and come with a COA crafted out of toilet paper.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by behaviorist on Apr 26, 2014 2:33:03 GMT 1, I just checked and I've actually been blocked from BNE's instagram for posting a query about how many of the Faile shirts he'd sold. I was perfectly polite in asking my question. And now I've been blocked from his Instagram account.
I'm all for outing this guy. Somehow this molehill's become a mountain; now it's personal. Tongue firmly in cheek, of course.

Yep here is some proof of that. Took screenshots.
Definitely messed up. I used to be somewhat on BNE's side throughout this whole thing (or at least believe there was something true about him/it), but lost all respect now. Now he's messing with the artists that were actually, honestly collaborating with him.

How much did Fairey etc take for themselves too from sales?
I don't know where they are getting their figures from but according to this
my.charitywater.org/artists-4-water ,they have raised $6,170 of a goal of $5,000

actually, a nonprofit would not give 100% to it's cause, they would have no money for any kind of operating costs, salaries, etc.
You can use www.charitywatch.org to find out how much of each dollar, given to any specific charity, is actually being used towards the reason it was donated for in the first place. There are a lot of charities who only give a small percentage of each dollar to the actual cause: money.cnn.com/2013/05/24/pf/donations-charities/
Now as far as BNE goes, they ARE NOT a non profit charity. They tried to start on in 2011 but it didn't work and since changed to a profit driven business that donates a small portion of it's profits to charity... The problem is that BNE's business practices are not transparent, something Shepard warned him about, and proof is the fact that a lot of people still think BNE's a charity... It's not. Being a PROFIT run business, I'm sure he(BNE) struck a deal with Shepard, faile and invader to pay them some money for each shirt sold in exchange to use their art. Faile agreed to do this on the agreement COAs would be sent with each shirt to legitimatize and keep the integrity of the edition size - which was very important to faile and unfortunately BNE didn't hold up his end of that deal, most likely due to the fact he sold well over the edition limit and pocketed the money.
Don't let BNE give charity:water, Shepard, faile or invader a bad name. The artists involved had good intentions whereas BNE is a money grubbing scam artist.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by Deleted on Apr 27, 2014 13:33:48 GMT 1, I agree thats why I wrote, the wiki page says BNE gives 100% of the profit (which is profit made after deductions expenses etc.)
Which in my book would be 100 % of the profit from sales of T shirts, so if a T shirt was sold for $80.00 there must be a good profit in that.
I agree again that BNE is too vague and not transparent.
If he said for example a T shirt will sell for 80 and it costs say 20 and he makes 60 and gives 20 and keeps 40.
No one would be able to complain but people would be able to decide if they wanted to buy a T shirt on that basis.
Obviously if people belive that all profit from te 80 goes to the charity they would be more inclined to purchase.

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by Broth on Apr 27, 2014 17:27:37 GMT 1, BNE responded via email to me stating that he didn't go with the Faile COA's because they have "Charity:Water" on them. I responded asking if the donated money from the Faile shirts went to C:W. I also asked if he shipped/printed/sold more than the marketed number of them. No response back.
I've been on BNE and Stefany's case about the number sold since day one of this nonsense. They've responded back to me half-a-dozen times but never once answered that question.

It seems obvious to me that way more were sold, especially given their evasiveness. Getting them to admit to it seems to be an entirely different matter.

Team BNE told me that the charity accepted the money from Faile, Invader and Obey and only refused the 'not Banksy' tee. So why would it be a problem that the Faile Coa mentioned the charity? ....

Banksy+BNE for World Water Day, by Johnnyroyale on Apr 27, 2014 19:10:21 GMT 1, I also posted on bne's instagram that people were querying how many tees were sold and that if it issued the Faile COAs this wouldve put people at ease . I also reposted on instagram the email from Faile regarding BNE that was posted here earlier. Safe to say these were subsequently deleted and ive also been blocked from bne instagram.
I then opened an ebay dispute on the basis that the item was not as described e.g limited to 100 pieces each and the seller has not provided any assurances to purchases that this is the case. Ppal has advised me that BNE has until 5th may to respond

In my ( bad ) English language , It told him that - I think that is the truth but I could be wrong ( I copy and paste my comment, sorry for the mistakes )...
" @bnedotorg lol, some hypocrites folks talk about charity here ( not you BNE ) , telling us that Wes not for the artist but for water, etc etc. Bla Bla Bla... Have a look on EBay, there is already tee at 150$ ! 150$ for a tee ?! Is it charitee ? ... Anyway , I asked you a question just up and forgot to tag you: They will be all refunded ? I had nothing... Sorry but i am a bit lost in translation "
I wonder why, BNE still insists for the charity gesture, all, here or in the world, wanted a tee because fo the artist ! We can give for charity whitout buying a tee !
ps : it is funny, if you read BNE , he never have " time ", for nothing, lol. When you are making a so big operation, you have to have mates, stamps ( lol ) , package, etc.. http://instagram.com/p/nMJskuzaaH
I just checked and I've actually been blocked from BNE's instagram for posting a query about how many of the Faile shirts he'd sold. I was perfectly polite in asking my question. And now I've been blocked from his Instagram account. I'm all for outing this guy. Somehow this molehill's become a mountain; now it's personal. Tongue firmly in cheek, of course. Edit: calm.com Me too , He blocked me .. Sorry but i am a bit lost in translation " I wonder why, BNE still insists for the charity gesture, all, here or in the world, wanted a tee because fo the artist ! We can give for charity whitout buying a tee ! ps : it is funny, if you read BNE , he never have " time ", for nothing, lol.
