Canvas Stretching..., by Deleted on Mar 22, 2014 17:52:20 GMT 1, This is probably a daft question but here goes...
I've just left a left a canvas with a gallery to be stretched and on the invoice I've just noticed it says 'Boxing of frame with foamboard'. Can somebody clarify what the foamboard bit means? Is that a protective backing of some sort?
Thanks!

There is no need for backing of canvas... maybe to adhere it to foamboard, but that would be odd to me.

Canvas Stretching..., by johnnyh on Mar 23, 2014 6:41:51 GMT 1, Sounds like you have ordered a frame for your canvas once it's stretched. Check with them but what I think they are doing is putting a layer of foam board between the frame and the canvas to stop he frame damaging the canvas.
As say this is what I think NOT what I know so would advise you contact them quickly before they start and they I am sure will happily take you through the process
