Click on the button at the right moement and nothing went in the basket !!! ed of 70 ? My eye, they were all reserved I guess ( and anyway Black apple art had some to sell at the show ! I remember ) . I am very angry, no sing of any hope, as if my computer, my web adress was blocked by the website. You got lucky. Saved some money  I tried looking at some of his "art" but fell asleep from boredom. Congrats to everyone that missed out.

Put your time in. Work on your craft for the love of what you are doing. It is just contrived when your goal is cashing in. I have no issue with artists making money. If they want to sell prints and people buy them good on them. I just feel bad for the people who are buying thinking they will cash in down the road on the latest unoriginal junk by the latest and greatest young artist

You might be right. I am getting old. Might have something to do with my allergic reaction to hype around new artists selling editions. Seems like street art for a lot of these guys are adverts for prints and not much more. I think I'm very supportive of new artists doing their thing on the streets. When you go straight to cashing in on your work, that is where I get bored real fast. Put your time in. Work on your craft for the love of what you are doing. The street stuff is fresh and unique both with concepts and execution.
Things have just moved on... No ones saying the enjoy graffiti is picasso, but it is an affordable original of someone who many people will not be able to afford come their next big show. No hype.

With tho the guys you have mentioned like whatson etc. I don't disagree and I'd put them in the same boat for the most part. Shepard fairey I think is a whole other storey. To me he has put in decades of work, he has changed the whole landscape and had more of an impact than Banksy and most if not all of the rest. That said I can see lots of reasons to not to like his work or his constant release of prints but he has earned my respect. Not that that is worth a whole lot.
The other thing I'd say is popularity doesn't equal good. There is lots of crap that is popular.

You make some good points. I guess I don't see his work as either fresh or unique. It seems like stuff I've seen over and over again with very little concept behind it. In terms of people with crap taste. That is quite subjective and life would be quite a bore if you only listen to people with similar opinions to your own.

I'm just saying I don't think he has done anything of note to date. I find his prints boring and unoriginal, hopefully he will evolve and do more original street art and maybe down the road have some interesting things to collect. In terms of people with crap taste. Maybe some people are buying for hype/flipping, or you can say that prices are being rigged or whatever; I'm just used to seeing prints being sold for 150p-300p for most artists that I know, absent the odd 1xrun. And if they're not, then they're immediately flipped for that range or more.
Time will always tell; I was happy with the screenprint price. It's also one of those images that's fun to have on the wall, but you won't die if you don't have it. People who buy strictly for profit with stuff like this will always lose in the long-run.
And I think everyone acknowledges that this is one of his least impressive pieces in terms of depth. I hope he moves on and does other stuff.
Just hard to say he doesn't have a past; I liked the rear-view camera thing he did a while back.

He liked the spot and painted it, clueless to the fact cost would be pissed if he put a roller on his paste up
No statement or anything just zach doing his stuff because he liked the wall.
In Newcastle last week all he did was look at walls saying I could do this and that as we walked to art shop and out on the town and stuff!
Cost was right about he should not have done it but zach did not even realise it would cause a storm in a tea cup on Instagram
When we walked in Brooklyn to gallery etc all u see is cost rollers and paste ups there great.
Its almost hard to find a good spot he ain't taken!
Don't read into what's not there zach spent a week or so in NYC 10 days after different strokes
He liked the spot and painted it, clueless to the fact cost would be pissed if he put a roller on his paste up
No statement or anything just zach doing his stuff because he liked the wall.
In Newcastle last week all he did was look at walls saying I could do this and that as we walked to art shop and out on the town and stuff!
Cost was right about he should not have done it but zach did not even realise it would cause a storm in a tea cup on Instagram
When we walked in Brooklyn to gallery etc all u see is cost rollers and paste ups there great.
Its almost hard to find a good spot he ain't taken!
