Ernest Zacharevic π±πΉ Penang, Malaysia Street Art , by kunstrasen on Nov 27, 2014 10:52:11 GMT 1, why are we fighting about pricing? i thought we buy things over here for the love of the image and to support the career of an artist. True that...guess though some disappointment with that price since some simply won't be able to afford it. And when a release is suddenly priced double to previous releases it just gives an odd feeling in my humble opinion wondering if it really is about supporting the artist or rather his management...
Anyhow, without a doubt a quality print...the more I look at it the more I like it. Best of luck to those who can and want to afford it. I assume it will be busy on that site this afternoon...

Β£350 is probably the UK average weekly take home so for most people this is taken into consideration when purchasing artwork. Well, dazarino, I'd like to go out and buy a RR Wraith (I wouldn't actually, I'm just using it as an example) but I can't afford one so it's not an issue, I don't buy one.

Well that would be in a perfect world. Sadly this forum is going the same way as Espresso Beans and shows sometimes how the main interest is how much money can be made on a print.

If the price was too low everyone would be complaining about flippers saturating the market and real collectors missing out on a print they would like to own and cherish.

Top artist, great image, quality printer, low edition. Sounds right to me. I wouldn't hesitate buying it if I were able to come up with the cash (time to have a flip through the portfolio ) as is always the case, just because you (or I) can't afford it, doesn't mean it's overpriced Exactly fed, well said. Most of the people complaining about the price are probably sat on a portfolio of prints, sell one of those if you dearly want to own this.
Will it look over-priced in a year, two years time?

I imagine its not cheap to produce these in Paris and when you consider this is less than the recent invader which had four editions of 65 at Β£375 and the gold at Β£900 ? and this is only an edition of 60.

I like the image too but it's hardly an apt comparator given the gross disparity in the market for the two artists' works.

Ernest Zacharevic π±πΉ Penang, Malaysia Street Art , by Print Them All on Nov 27, 2014 13:33:47 GMT 1, With price being the biggest issue disused here we wanted to take a moment and explain few things:
The production of fine art editions was never cheap, and so weren't their retail prices. We're talking about production that is 100% manual, with skilled professionals being involved in every step of it, using specialized high end equipment and materials.
New technology made it possible to produce editions at much MUCH lower costs, but the quality of print and the amount of work that goes into production can not be compared. The edition of 5 giclees or 500 giclees doesn't make a huge difference in costs, and can be done in matter of hours by one person. Also, nobody can't guarantee how ink jet prints will stand the test of time, cause the technology itself has been around for not that long.
We are aware that are prices are not affordable for everyone, but we're offering products that justifies the price. It's like buying an IKEA chair or a Herman Miller chair - both of them will work, but the chances are that the later will keep it's value and staying in great shape for a long time. The fact that lithographs produced at the same place as ours are exhibited at the museums worldwide, proves that too.
So, we're sincerely sorry that some of you feel our editions are priced high compared to others. By all means please buy the one you think is better value and can afford, but comparing our releases with others on the market just isn't fair on many levels.
Thank you for reading and showing interest in our products!
